I will take the opportunity from this post by Larry to share with you a bit of history for our business strategy and future. SupraStore.com was started four years ago to be a specific market-niche online supplier of high performance products for the 4th generation Toyota Supra. We were fortunate enough to have excellent timing for the market and see the Supra become a "cult" classic import performance car in America. We went through typical start-up growing pains and persevered to build a very successful internet and phone order business model.

2001 was a watershed year for www.suprastore.com, with month-to-month, quarter-to-quarter and annual record sales and shipments. In late spring of 2001 I resigned from my job as a Senior Executive for a major high tech firm to concentrate on facilitating the growth of SupraStore.com and to expand and fine tune our business model.

We expanded our market to cover other Toyota and Lexus markets and put into place a system of "key suppliers" (such as Titan) and a call center to handle the business. We have been overwhelmed by the support and growth and in 2002, once again we are seeing record month-to-month sales and shipment records to become a mutli-million dollar internet/phone sales and service company. Our commitment is to serve the customer and meet the needs of the markets we are in.

What problems do we foresee? To be honest, the growth has exceeded our forecasts, so personnel requirements have grown, our need for more SupraStore.com "certified service centers" is being tested again and our new T1 phone system is yet to be operational in a timely fashion. We are advertising in major publications like Turbo Magazine (see our ad on page 110 of July 2002 Turbo) and you should be proud to know that www.newcelica.org is our first paid internet banner advertisement! I believe we chose the right site for our first!!

As you may be well aware inventory is always a critical issue and we face the same problem as many vendors. Currently we maintain a siginificant inventory approaching .5M dollars, which doesn't go far enough. Eventhough we are very car specific at this time, we cannot get enough GReddy, APEXi, Blitz or HKS products to meet the needs of our customers (as well as other products). We will order 10 Celica exhaust systems and be given only three by the Japanese suppliers. We will order 30 Apexi S-AFC's and be given only 15 units to cover the Celica, MR2, Supra and whoever else comes in to buy one markets, so that is something we are working with on a constant basis.

I do apologize for this long first post, but I did want to take a moment of your time to introduce ourselves and give you a vision for our future. Expanded customer care representatives, expanded hours, 24hr secure online ordering, increased inventory and support of the community in which we serve. By the way SupraStore.com and Titan Motorsports are two separate businesses, but as one of our key suppliers, Wes, Bottle and the team are a big part of our growth and future.

I am glad to see you guys have a site that has some humor. In life we all have our up's and down's, and if we are lucky, work hard and God smiles upon us we can make a difference.

If my dad knew I gave up my big shot :) exec. job to sell air filters to Toyota owners, he would roll over in his grave. On a serious note, I am glad to be sponsoring the site and wish you all the best of luck in all that you do.

Next year, I must buy a car for my daugther and am now seriously thinking of a GT-S. However, I will be honest, right now I am leaning towards a turbo Bug. I could imagine my daugther, running a nice T3/4 Turbo in her cute lil' bug and then two-stepping the Mustang boys outta the hole for a 0-60 "flashers wailing" spanking............ Nevermind. Yes I know. My brother owns a Supra tt and I visit the supraforums on ocassion and KING is always helpful when asked about what parts work best. i'm sure it will be no different here. :)
