Not bad, looks good

Kinda like those IS300 lights
do you have HID's as ur driving lights?? or are they just regular H7's??

pokgai
05-19-2002, 02:15 AM
Regular H7s, actually they are the Vision Plus. Clear bulb, "50% more light". Not HID. I want HID; anybody want to donate a set to me?

PIAAs are around $25 each bulb, although I've seen them go for like $60+ for a pair (which is crazy). I bought mine from www.suvlights.com

Yeah, 85W is risky. You'll either blow the bulbs or melt the wiring to the bulbs running that high of a wattage.

But they do look good.

MEGA WHITE - (55W) $12, (100W) $14

KRYPTON - (55W) $12, (100W) $14

mega white....krypton.....difference?

either you take off the front bumper or you remove the splash guard..
looks hot Alex  I've got Osram Super's in my fogs and VisionPlus H7's right now... they match up pretty good but think I might be switching to some yellow fogs sometime soon. I love that look :D

heh i was using the Osram Super's for H3 fogs too. I just got sick of regular looking fog light bulbs.

They still have a yellowish hue to them. Their color on the ground is more noticeably white than the VisionPlus bulbs.

I just installed the PIAA ion ones in my fogs and it looks just like those a lil better I think I got em for 46 shipped from www.importpartsplus.com but it took like 3 weeks to get em slow bastards! That was a run on sentence... but anyways I really like the look... similar to Lexus

swift21- it says it emits a softer yellow light, so i'm guessing its not gonna be like the lexus look????????

pokgai

yeah I emailed the guy, and he said the Narvas were the yellowest and brightest among those yellow. this was also discussed on the philips automotive lighting forum and the other ones were like pale yellow or rainbowy or some crap.

I dont want any confusion: the Vision Plus are not really that color. The camera makes it look whiter/bluer than it really is. It is just stock color, maybe a tinge whiter when looking AT the projector from a distance. But they are definitely NOT blue or super white.

I like it. I've been looking for a good fog light to match my Vision/K2 Crystal White HID's for a while. Since my PIAA super plasma's no longer look white w/purple tint. :(
That yellow looks phat though. I might have to try those out. What is the wattage of the PIAA Ions, 85W is pretty high. Although I think that's what my PIAA super Plasmas are running at.

Nice Alex,

Actually I was looking for new bulbs as my bulbs busted two weeks ago.... i just had my stocks put back on.. i actually like your bro... i think I am gonna go with yours instead of trying to find me a blue tinted bulbs that would not work with our fog housing due to filters...unless someone knows a light bulb that will actually will look blueshi/white with our stock fog housing...... otherwise, thanks to Alex....

whoops forgot to say i ordered 2 pairs at the same time, and it was $7 for shipping for up to 4 bulbs. so,

$16(4) = $64 + 8.25%CA tax = $69.28 + $7 shipping = $76.28 but the guy let me have it for $75 total, divide that by 2 (got one for my friend) = $37.50 round up to nearest whole number for the sake of simplicity = $38.

If you do not live in California, then you will pay $16 + $16 + $7 = $39 for a pair. If you do, you will pay ($16 + $16) = $32 + 8.25%CAtax = $34.64 + $7 shipping = 4=$41.64.

I would suggest you buy 2 pairs (4 bulbs) to make the most on shipping. Or get some other kind of bulbs ($7 covers up to 4 bulbs). But check with the owner (Jen Liu) first to see exactly how much it is for you.

that looks nice where and how much did u get your Vison Plus?

pokgai
05-21-2002, 05:52 PM
just to clarify, the visionplus' are not super white. here is what they look like (as real as i could)

Not to discourage anyone... but I didn't want people to buy these bulbs thinking they were going to get an HID look. Don't get me wrong; these are very bright bulbs, but they do not give any superwhite look.

see http://www.newcelica.org/other/faq/bulbs/index.htm for lighting... the H3 is what the fogs use. PIAA only has one type of ion yellow that I know of.

nice..thanks. i found the plasma ion bulbs off of www.hitechimportlighting.com and they're a lot more expensive there..around 60 bucks. Are they the same bulbs?

They are also very useful in bad weather. Yellow doesn't reflect off of fog/rain/snow as bad as the light from normal headlights, so more of the light is focused on the road ahead.

Just FYI, the color that's least visible at night by the human eye is blue, and white reflects off of bad weather the most.
