Hey guys not sure if I posted this thread in the right place but i figured this would be the place. I was just wondering if anyone made an Engine Block Heater for a 2004 GT-S. I live in Wyoming (yea there's a state called Wyoming, its in the middle of no where) haha and it's about -20 degree's Farenheit here and so ya, need help.

My engine was frozen solid at -50 here in Winterpeg and forgot the plug it in even with synthetics. You got lucky lol. 2 hours later when plugged in finally got un-frozen.

Look around at after market, there should be a few out there. I have not look for a very long time but I remember two types, one was installed into one of the main radiator hose, and the other epoxied to the under side of the oil pan. These should work if you can't find a block heater.

The block heaters are actually made by a company called Pyroil. There is a hole machined into the block, just below the head gasket on the end of the engine. Just uses some thermal conductive grease and clips into the block. Works well.

Hate to bring this back from the dead, but damned if I can't find the block heater hole... Can anyone provide some more detailed info?

I've looked at the services manuals too, no mention of it.
Is it accessible without removing wires or tubing?
Do I have to get under the car to reach it?

Block heaters usually go in the place of expansion (freeze) plugs. Remove the plug and install heater.

The hole is on the side of the block that meets the transmission. It is just below the cylinder head on the front side. Above the starter and below the 2 small nipples that come out of the head forward of the big coolant tube

On the ZZ motors they have a space already machined into the block to take the clip in tube heater so it is not necessary to replace a freeze plug.
