Ahhh yes.... the rumor is true... :( :( the Si is Gone..
Hence the reason I am keeping my plate for a while "SIGONE"

I got a '99 Grand Am Se.. It is a strip down though..

2dr., 4cyl... hey.. it's pretty peepy.., no power windows.. :( uggg...
No sun roof.. :( and no .. tint!! I am going to fry!!!

Well the good thing is that it is an automatic.. I wanted a 4 door but looking at them on the lot and trying to get the car seat in and out is more of a pain than the 2 door.. (because the 4 door doesn't open very far..)
Oh.. it has 17k miles on it so that was good... and the radio (even though it does not have a cd player. :( ) sounds very good!!!

So... can anybody hook me up with some places that sell performance stuff.. ?? hehehehehe :D :D

Think I am goign to get the windows tinted first.. then a radio that has a CD player.. Oh... and a spoiler on the back.. (just a stock one guys.. nothing too crazy :D )

Well, I know you've been wanting an auto for a while so that's cool. Which car will you be driving the most? The Grand Am or the 4-Runner? You get a good deal on the trade? Or they rape you like they usually do? Hey, with you getting the stripped down version, that just means more money for more mods. :)

i did good the first time i raced there but i think my cart sucked this time. (or thats what the guy that worked at the bar said it could have been...haha). congrats on the new car, even though it is for old people :). j/k, its probably alright. i kinda have some hookups at a few performance places around here if you're interested (nopi specifically but not sure if they sell stuff for those cars).

Jamie, I hope to work my way into driving the 4runner more.. I really like driving it.. (can't take the turns for crap but it is a nice ride..) I got a good deal I feel... they gave me more than any other dealer I have been too.. (even car-max... beat them by 1300 bucks..) and I got the car for a $1000 less than what Kelly Bluebook said it was worth.. so I came out good.. got a 5 year 75k mile warranty too.. I normally would not do that but being an american car etc... and used.. ya never know..

actually you should go talk to some of the supra guys about that :). (seeing the sticker that said "technology is the only substitute for cubic inches" on the back of one of the turbo'd ones reminded me of that). although you can probably get some huge power out of those camaros too. (but 700+ hp from a six is still pretty good to me. watching one of those guys take off the other day was incredible, it made me start wanting one of those again).

haha...thats true. speaking of supras, i got on my kick of wanting one again (i've been on that for about 3 years now though) but then got pissed cuz i realize the same thing i always do when i look for supras for sale...almost every freakin turbo one is an auto! i never have understood that but it still makes me mad. i know some people say they are faster and all that crap but i'd much rather have a 6 speed anyways. oh well, just figured i'd share this useless info, not that it really matters cuz i couldn't afford one of these things anyways.

Yes they are all autos and faster, and I think I've wanted one as long as I've wanted the Eclipse that Larry now has, right down to the color... but the Supra will never make it because of insurance... and the Eclipse will never make it it seems because of the many, many horror stories I've received about trannies. THAT was a long sentence *breaths now*

man, we have a lot in common as far as the cars we wanted. i was determined (after realizing a supra TT was out of the question) to get a 97-99 eclipse gts or preferably gsx but couldn't find one with very low miles anywhere near me for a good price. and like you said, i started hearing lots of bad stuff about the reliability after i did some research. however it doesnt look like the celica ended up being much better for me :(. (on that note, i had what could have been a record breaking bog today, i'm almost sure it lasted a good 6 or 7 seconds. this is just stupid. i think ill take it to toyota friday since i have the day off from school and see if they can start fixing it).

Heh, atleast with the crap transmission it got fixed under warranty and isn't as likely to happen as the Eclipse. Other way you're just plain screwed. GB on hood scoop for 122, anyone selling a CF one or any other that would make it easier? Since everyone is selling their car :)

Hey Cody, any chance that your MAS is screwed up? It sounds like it's not reading your "air flow" correctly, causing the computer to send too much gas into the engine. Just a thought...

My car goes in the shop on Monday to have the Mass airflow sensor replaced. Thats probably whats wrong w/ Cody's car except he's not getting a CEL like I am. My car is bogging pretty bad in every gear now, it used to only do it in first.

They're not giving me any problems about the intake. They weren't happy that it was there. But it is still being fixed under warranty.
