Hey that sounds good to me, this weekend... Where is do you think we'll have it at? I'm up near Berkeley but I can drive anywhere near by. We can hook up at a near by mall or something.... Where is most people in the bay area from?

We usually have big Celica meets at The Great Mall in Milpitas. It's easy to find and it's kinda in between the San Jose and East Bay people.

There's a small car show being held this Saturday at McCarthy Ranch iin Milpitas. Proceeds will go towards a 9/11 charity. Just an idea for a meeting place.

our meets aren't strictly Praxis... we want all the other celica people to come too. We don't want to exclude anyone. Our board is also the Norcal Celica board not just Praxis because we want people to come talk with us and have people to hang out with and have meets with and stuff.

this saturday is the charity car show at Walmart in Milpitas at McCarthy Ranch. Show starts at 11. Myself and another member are entering the show. If you guys are gonna make a meet you guys should make it for the car show and meet up there with us or something. I know if you guys set up a meet at least 2 weeks in advance you can get about 15-20 celica's out. We should say in 2 weeks a meet at Great Mall... then we could have more people.

I agree with J2KGTS6, if we plan this out right, we can a lot of people going to the meet. If we do this last minute, we may only have only a few people. Tell me if anyone likes this, lets make it meet happen on Nov 10 or Nov 17th at Great mall, near D&B. Well Saturday Im working but I get off at 7pm. So how about Saturday night anytime after 7pm, sounds good? Also I understand that a lot of NC.Org members are from the North Bay so I don't mind having the meet somewhere there. Also, Jamie, I know all Celica owners are welcome to the Wed Praxis meets but not everyone can make it all the time and Union City is a bit far for others. The reason I dont attend your guys meets as much as I can is because I feel like its sort of a team kind of thing and Im not a member so if a non member is there that has no intentions joining, its kind of awkward. Why do you think I always leave early? I just want this meet to be something fun so other Celica owners in the Bay can get together, ANY Celica owner is invited and that includes Praxis.

The Concord/Walnut Creek area is cool with me for next week. Saturday at anytime is cool. Antioch is still a distance but we can go there. I haven't heard of a Krispy Kream down there but damn!! let's go if they do... If not this place, we can always go to Sun Valley and take up the whole parking spot in the front...

Andy... I wasn't talking about just Wednesday night meets.. i can understand about Wednesdays.. thats not a big deal. We know not everyone can make it that time. I'm talking about meets in general. We haven't planned a saturday meet in a long time because it just hasn't been on the agenda. Our Weekend meets are Bay area Celica meets... the only things that are really Praxis related are events which include shows and things like auto-x... but even stil those are open to outsiders if they wanted to join.

We stress all the time that we keep an open team. Wednesday night meets we do sometimes talk about team stuff and what needs to get done.. BUT not all the time.. and i guess the reason you think it feels like a team thing is because everyone knows each other personally. We still don't want that to scare people away. We love to meet new people.

I think he was kind of joking and not fully serious. One thing about Rich.. he jokes around. I think some of the members just kinda took this thing the wrong way as though you were excluding Praxis members.

We stress all the time how open we are... our meets in the events forum never say "praxis meet" and such... its just a name anyways. Its to get our large group some support and represent the Celica's. I guess we just didn't really think it was fair being as we are always so open and so welcoming to new people and other celica owners. We invite anyone with any car that wants to hang out with us to hang out with us.

It doesn't matter anyways.. a meet is a meet. Hope we can all work out a date for everyone to meet up. I still say plan in for a couple weeks in advance... say some time in the morning so that CGCelica has a chance to make it on a saturday and still be able to go to work that night. Post it up on all the Norcal forums and make a cool meet out of it.

Andy man, Rich was just kidding around with you that's all.

I can relate to both sides really. I get where Andy's coming from 'cause I felt the same way. However, I didn't think of it as a Praxis thing. It's just that people who became Praxis, hang out with each other and talk together more than the rest of us so they became closer, that's all. And so sometimes it's hard to break into the meld 'cause I/we don't follow what they were talking about. I don't think that they are trying to shut other people out for not being Praxis or anything. Each time I showed up, they do make an effort to make me feel welcome though. 2 weeks from now sounds pretty good. And if any Praxis member was offended I do apologize but like I said this will be a NON Praxis meet, that doesnt mean Praxis members are excluded, I wanted this meet to be ANYONE who owned a Celica to all get together and for once not be ANY kind of team organization but just for us Celica owners to get together and have some fun.The reason I said it would be a non Praxis meet is because whenever you guys have your meets there are some people that feel left out because you guys are always(from the few meets that I have been to)talking about the team, basically the whole purpose of the meet was to organize Praxis Racing. I just wanted this meet so that no one is left out and we all get together so that we know who we are competing with but most of all just get together and have some fun.

Well I personally didnt feel left out, I just thought why should I even be here or attend Praxis meets if the meets are just all about Praxis? Im sure any other Celica guy who went would have felt left out or the way I did. But maybe it was just the couple meets that I went to.

Our wednesday meets are for the purpose of us being able to talk about upcoming things. Being as our team is still new we've used it as a way to organize things.. but there have been many wednesday night meets where we have not discussed team stuff. Usually when we do discuss team stuff its for a short period of time and not for the whole diration of the meet.

Our events, and meets have never been for the sole purpose of Praxis Racing but for ALL Bay area Celica owners to attend, meet new people, and have fun.

We have not organized a weekend meet simply because of a lot of other stuff going on in the past few months and some people being busy on weekends. Now that things have kind of died down and the only events on the weekends are auto-x.. we can start to organize weekend meets. This is not limited to praxis members or team stuff. We always want everyone to attend.

Like Darkwind said... we make an attempt to make all new people or people who don't attend as often feel welcomed. I know sometimes its hard to join in a group of people who have known each other much longer because talk is more on a personal basis... but at the same time any time i see a new person join us at a meet there is someone talking to him, we all introduce ourselves, and try to become aquainted.

Obviosly we did a good job of Welcoming Andy (rexpokinghorn), Johnny (MrCoo), Alex (pokgai), and Jimmy (jimhk)... they felt welcomed enough and liked us enough to want to join our team. We don't expect that of everyone we respect if someone isn't interested in carrying the name... but we still would like them to join us in our fun meets.

Praxis is just a name like i said to get our group some representation and to represent the Celica's. But the members are just a bunch of open minded, friendly, and welcoming people.

You can consider Praxis meets=Celica meets.

Damn..... Ummm... Okay. I guess I don't know what's going on since I do go to any of the Paxis meets. The Paxis meets look pretty cool but I can barely get enough time to go. I guess that won't look good if I decide to be a member but never go to the meets. So is the meet happening on the weekend of the 17th or 18th of this month? Paxis meet or not, it sounds pretty cool. Is this date official or still being decided?

2 Official Celica meets ago, we had 33 Celica's I believe in D&B. If we give enough time, no hurry, like a month ahead, we could pull off like 40 or more Celica's. That's just an idea though. 2 weeks would be sufficient, but just incase people who don't visit this board often will eventually see it and plan ahead.

Andy, you shouldn't feel left out. Everytime I invite you, you always leave early. We just wanna hang around, bs a little. Just hang around with us on our regular meet.
