Thinking of Black Housing Headlight

Guys... i wanna get the Black Housing Headlights for mhy silver Celi. U guys think it'll look nice on it?

Also IPTuned quote me USD 360.00 (shipped to Jakarta)..... is it a good deal? will the headlights bolt directly to the car's original position without any mods?or anyone else could offer me any deals?

i have a silver celica with the black housing headlights and i think it looks awesome. do a search, there are lots of silver celicas with the black housing. you can even do it yourself for like $50 USD or less. if you buy the black housing (from X3 racing or any other brand), the projector lens isn't as good as the stock projector, but the trade off is that the black housing is actually black plastic instead of just black painted plastic...but then again, the paint probably wont chip or anything because it's under the clear cover.

as for $360 shipped, i'm not sure how much shipping is, but i think you can find black housing headlights for cheaper than that. i think they sell the X3 racing black housing ones on ebay for like $230 shipped to the US. maybe a bit more to Indonesia, but i seriously doubt it will be $130 more. good luck in your decision

Thanks for your info... i'm really desperate to get them. since parts for Celi are very limited here, i have to source it from the US. yeah... I saw on Ebay it was selling for USD 125, so i'll shop around first. thank again for your input

Invision Performance is selling them on the GB forum for $240.

Yeah Invision Performance is the one I am buying from.... it cost USD 360.00 door delivered to my home in Jakarta. Shipping is expensive.

I just did mine this weekend took about an hour to do. it's easy to paint them the hardest part is prying them apart, just get some rustolium black enamel and lightly fog it on from about 6-8 inches away once they'er back in the housing no one will ever see little blemishes and you'll save your self $300

I got mine from Invision Celica and they fit as perfectly as the stock ones. My Celica is spec blue, and I think they look awesome.

I got the black housing headlights from invision performance. I wasn't very pleased. The projectors are too focused, and I wasn't able to aim mine up high enough with the adjustment screws, and the high beams were no better. I ended up taking them apart and using the lens cover since that's the only part i really wanted.

I've searched but I can't find them on a stock silver, I was thinking about painting mine black, I helped my buddy do his MKIV golf in the summer and it looked nice, always wondered what it would look like on a silver celica

Justin... i ordered a pair to be sent to Jakarta.... Any chance you could hold the shipment? as the city is being paralysed by floods , in some area by 3-4 meters.

Peeper thanks for your concern... at the moment the water has touched the lower part of my tyres ( i have already jacked the car and it's now sitting on 3 level of bricks for each tyres). my house is already filled with water (about ankle high) but on the streets they are chest deep. we could only hope the water will subside soon. During the evacuation (by rubber boat), i have seen some SUVs have been fully submerged in water. we could only pray now

yes i think te black housing will make our celi even sexier, that's why i am getting them.....

We were evacuated on Sunday by the MARINE boats, and from a dry land, we moved to our old house in the other part of the city which was not affected by the floods. it's okay here, electricity, phone and water supply is normal, just hoping that the worst is already over. Thanks Peeper, and once i got the headlight from Invision Performance, i'll let you know how they look (if my celi survive the floods) :confused: .

Get the headlights, i have a pair from invision myself, very pleased with them. I hope your celi survived the floods, would ba a shame to lose your car like that.

I'd rather make my own rather than use up 240$ for a project I could do myself for a fraction of the price! How can you mess up on this project? If you mess up on the ribs of the housing just paint the other side solid black or graphic, w/e you began with.
