I bought the mold from Matt and im incharge of the this GB now. The GB is for a new slim style navi filler. The filler will be in fiberglass for now, however can be made in urethane for extra and will take longer to get. The navi filler will come in primer ready to mold or paint. The Gb will start on Feb 10 and run through March 10th.

The price is 35 shipped

quick question
How do you mold these fillers on the console yourself?

Glue it in place on the corners and attack it with fiber-all and bondo. Sand when dry to a smooth finish and prime when you've got it ready to go.

Then send off and get wrapped in fiber, or have a paint shop do it up for you.

Its not really hard, it just takes a little patience. That is how I did my original style one (the one that was 1" thick), this newer style one weighs much less and will take a lot less time :)

Tuan, you got PM.

They dont need to be molded. If you are afraid of it cracking when removing it I suggest doing what tanner said minus the glass and bondo step. Use hot glue and glue it from the underside. The have a shop paint it. The glue is flexible so when twisted it wont crack ect. However if you do mold it is about a 30 min job.

I cant believe no ones jumping on this. The JDM console isnt a rare mod anymore, more people should need one of these.

so I got mine in the mail. Looks pretty good, fits pretty well.

Compared to the old style, i think molding in the new one is going to take more work. But it's nothing too major. The one part that will take the longest is building "up" the bordering right next to the tv. On the stock console it has a small transition right before the plastic ends on what would touch the edges of the tv screen. The old style "thick" navi filler had this cased into the mold, and i thought the new one would too. Oh well, no biggie.

there is a hole in the jdm dash where the navigation buttons go for the stokc navi unit (not avail in US) so u need something to fill that hole, hence the navi filler :)

i'm surprized larry did not shut this down yet with the new rules though i guess because it was up before the new rule

It was up before the new rule, but it should be closed anyways. Regardless Im not trying to make a whole lot of money off of these. With shipping and all I probably didnt even make any money.
