[QUOTE]Screaming for Demon.

That's what we'll be doing if Dodge can stick to its brief of developing this 2-seat sports car with a sticker that starts at about $15,000. Powered by a 172-bhp 2.4-liter inline four mated to a 6-speed manual, the Demon is a svelte 2,600 lbs. and should provide the same kinds of thrills as the Mazda Miata for thousands less and have a more aggressive look thanks to the work of designer Jae Chung.

Taking his cue from the Dodge Viper, which he describes as

if it just didn't have that front grill....it would look WAY better

That sure doesn't look like the 90% of Dodges BFUGLY vehicles they have been building lately. Kinda a 350Z knock off.

if they can make it $15,000 and keep it at that price - and keep them stocked - they'll have a winner

half the problem with the solstice is the supply is so low and all the 60 year old men want one, so they're willing to pay way over sticker.

it'd be a good value for the price... but i dont like it

It's ok. I'd have to see it in another color. I like the front, it looks better than the Pontiac and the Saturn. Beefier.

It seems ok, but what kind of drive system does it have? It doesn't say, and thats probably the most important spec. I hope they aren't stupid enough to go with front on what they call a sports car.

its clearly a skye/solstice clone - same engine, I would imagine same drivetrain - rwd

lets hope it doesn't have the same ****ty top system

Why would it be a clone? Last I checked dodge wasn't with GM.

being light weight isn't the only thing that makes a Mazda Miata fun to drive... Dodge better understand that.

because its a "me-too" car (HHR/PT Cruiser for example)

here, let me put it this way

can you name a single FWD roadster ?

looks like a really ugly Z imo...

and their quote is def. a winner...."The lines wrap around the rear brake duct inlet and then flow over the large rear wheel arches that give the back of the car a terrific stance, not dissimilar to that of the Porsche 911 Turbo." :wtf:

I'm with this one. It looks like a promising weekend track car.

x2. I'm guessing it'll have the SRT-4 engine, or some derivation of it...so boosting it will be quite a beast :D at least it won't be a FWD catastrophe like the SRT-4...and hopefully a bunch of kids won't figure out how to get turbo's on that thing...

Honetly, I don't care what it looks like. The miata (soap bar) and solstice (Remington Microscreen) look like crap and they are still great track day cars.

True, there really aren't fwd roadsters, but I would be a lot happier if they bothered to tell you. I don't put anything stupid past car makers these days, so until I see it in writing...
