Hey everyone, I'm planning on getting a set of Tein Basic Coilovers in the near future, and had a couple questions for current users/anyone else who is informed on the subject.

First, how easy is it to adjust the height of the suspension? I'm planning on raising it in the winter to be able to clear the snow (moving to the Northlands soon), while keeping it low for summer driving. So I'd only adjust it a couple times a year, but it would be nice to know how easy it is.

Second, what are the limits of practical adjustments (how high/low can you go)? I've heard the endlinks have a tendency to wear if they're adjusted too high or low.

Finally, how long will this setup last? Anyone had coilovers for 50k+? It would be good to know how durable this suspension is. Any/all info is appreciated. Thanks!

I own tanabe coilovers but i think teins are the same. you just lift the car up to access the coils, use the supplied tool to undo the lock nut and adjust the perch to where you want it and then just put the lock nut back into place with the perch. probably takes about 10 mins a side. not sure of the height adjustment range, but as far as how long it last that depends on you. if you take care of them (avoid pot holes, drive in good conditions, they should last a long time.

i've had the basics for around 6k miles (not that long) but i've adjusted the ride height a couple times and it's really easy to do. right now i'm at about stock height on them but in the summer the fronts were 2 finger gap and the rear was 1 finger. the ride was fine even on 18's but much better raised up on stock tires. they come with new front endlinks but i can't really comment on the durability yet. the good thing is if they do blow out on you down the road they can be overhauled which is a lot cheaper than buying new c/o's.

ive had basics for about 2k miles
very easy to change the height but if you lower it much you need strut bars because the ride gets bad
