i wouldnt recommend it....if you can do it without that is..... Ive changed a few clutches on FWD's and usually you can just take the axle out of the wheel hub and that gives you enough room to do the pressure plate and disk...im only talking like 4-5 inches when you split it.....but if you are pulling the engine and tranny....good luck to you ..i think that they shoule just pull out...they will be tight...but they will come out....by the way...when it does come out.....the fluid comes with it...

Honestly, if you have to ask, then you must not have a service manual. Thus, you don't have instructions for taking it apart or putting it back together, no torque values, etc. Sounds like a bad idea to me. Spend the $80 to get Vol. 2 of the service manual, that should tell you everything you need to know.

Mine is out on loan, so I can't help.

They have a lock pin on the splines. You have to pull very hard they will come out trust me...

Just pull the axle straight out really hard, but becareful not to tear the axle seal on the tranny. I had to replace mine after installing my clutch and flywheel.

Same here. YOu have to pull fast and hard to get it lose then gently pull it out. I didn't losen the axle nut so I had to support the weight of the spindle as well. The tie rod end boot is easy to tear so I just left it attached. I removed the two strut bolts, link pin, ball joint bolts and abs and brake line.

its a slicing noise.
if you run two swords accross each other and it makes the tzeeing noise.
its that over and over.
its not to bad but i dont like it.
its normal for this type of clutch.
if youve ever heard a twin plate clutch on a supra or something its the same noise.
whenever you put the clutch in it makes this noise.
the thing that makes it is the metal plate between the pressure plate and the clutch.

Pull hard? Like hell - thats what big 'ol honkin pry bars are for. A nice set of 2 or 3 foot Snap On cheater bars with the offset end - lever between the tranny and the CV housing and out she comes - just be careful not to bend or break anything :)
