how do you get a wire threw the firewall

I need to get one little old wire threw the firewall, how the hell do you do this? I can tell this wont be easy:(

There is a little rubber grommet that you can push a wire through. Its located on the driver's side of the firewall. Behind the battery and near the steering column.

If you have an automatic, you can tap a hole and run it through where the clutch should have been.

If you can't find a way, drill, its not that hard.

To make it easier to pull the wire thru the rubber grommet, use a wire coat hanger (straightened out of course). Poke the hanger thru the grommet, tie/tape the wire to the end of it, then pull it through. Very simple. ;)
