For those that don't believe Celica is faster than ITR!!!!

Look at the times of qualifying and check out where the Celica is and below it is the Integra Type R!!!

I do not know how the race went but the Celica shows the potential with only having Kazuma exhaust, stock airbox and TRD suspension on street tires.

I know this car and the driver and the car is really good for road racing.

That proves nothing. It all has to do with the DRIVER!!! I can race a guy in a Type R, and beat him, but then switch cars and still beat him if I am a better driver. They are very close. If you get two really good drivers, then my money is on the ITR. Just my opinion.

you can race GT vs. GTS ... if the guy in the GT-S doesn't know how to launch... he can get smoked by a 2.1 60' from the GT with slicks...

notice how the WRXs are spread out. what does that prove? that a WRX is faster than a 911 and M3.. no no wait.. it's slower. no it's faster. no slower.. you get the point.

have you ever watched formula ford races? it's about 30 cars designed to the same spec and the field will be so widely spread out.

I point out something good about the potential of the Celica and you guys come bashing at me ..... you guys cant accept a good thing about what a Celica can do and for your information both drivers the one of the Celica and the one of the ITR are very good if that makes a point to people on this board that point out every little detail of every aspect....

I thought that this would make people feel that the Celica is a worthy competitor of the all mighty Type R on road racing circuit.

I found this to be of great info....but thanks for nothing...

Ok, the reason people are bashing you is because your subject line IS TERRIBLE.

Basically you just flat out say, "The Celica is Faster than the ITR".

This example is poor at best. All that it shows is that the DRIVER is BETTER than the driver of the ITR.

Trust me, I've seen a guy at an autox event put it to cars with his GEO METRO. I'm not joking. There is so much a good driver can do for ANY car.

A more appropriate post would have been

"Check out this Celica........ hangin with the best of the best." or something to that effect.

I don't think you should take any of this personally........

someone here said something about drivers switching cars.. its true.. i got a 02 gts 6spd and ive raced my friends dad's Teg Type R.. he had a small lead and i pulled on him like crazy on 3rd gear.. 4th had half a car... and 110mph + i had a whole car and a half.. we later on switched cars and i beat my own car about the same as i did his when he was driving it... well.. whatever PEAAAAAAAAAAACCCCEEEEEE

Some people are just that insecure. I don't know why people just can't enjoy their car for what it is. If it's being misrepresented, then speak up. But why go out and try to find things like this to get the fanboys spun up?

I think that if a GT-S beat an ITR it deserves as much recognition for having beat that car at that particular point... It's doable.

I've watched a guy in a Ferrari F50 get beat by non-turbo Porsches at the road course before. If a driver is not up to par, the car only helps so much. This guy was blistering the Boxster S's on the straightaway, but they caught right back up to him in the turns.
