Apparently, MT-90 is a GL-4 rated oil and 75w-90NS is a GL-5. This means that the GL-5 has a higher sulfer content and also, from what I understood, the gl- is more corrosive to bronze bushings and/or sincronizer rings. The redline rep. also told me that the mt-90 has additives that were made for trannys as opposed to 75w-90ns's spec for rear end diffs.
yep.
i just ordered 3 qts of mt-90

MT-90 in the winter time, with a cold gearbox, shifting is like hot knife thorugh butter.

I used the MT 90 and felt a nice difference after a day or so, I guess when the oil spread around or something, I recommended it for what its worth, I have the Kumo direct shift bushings and with the oil it made a very nice improvement to the feel of the shifter.
