sometimes my gears feel as smooth as butter when u shift through them, and sometimes they dont feel so smooth dont get me wrong ..no grinding but at times it feels different..anyone notice that..i also had the tsb on the shifter springs done..i dont think there is somehting wrong with my tranny because toyota basically rebuilt about 5-8k miles ago and its felt the same...but they changed synchros and gears and put new clutch and flywheel in..

It's probably the action of your clutch combined with the rpm the gears are spinning at. It can also depend on the load you're putting on the transmission via the accelerator. The gearbox engagement should feel different dependent on these factors.

I would never rebuild a transmission again. Just get one new or used that works, and take that chance.

How much did the rebuild cost you?

Yah, if warantee paid for 2 g's of it, that's fine; but if you spent 3G's that would be a waste.
