did you two guys know there was a turbo GT-S on the island already? I'm happy to say I got to take a nice look at it when the owner dropped by my house to pick stuff up from me. Loud BOV. Unfortunately, the car was returned to stock and sold... he's currently building another project car. ;)

on the car I was talking about? the car wasn't dyno'd, OR fully complete. He ran into quite a few problems with the stock ECU and was looking into stand alone engine management but ended up abandoning the project to build a, well, Honda. ;) He couldn't get the car to deliver fuel properly, and the ECU would cut the engine off early. The setup was custom, using a turbine off of an SR20DET motor. The fuel rail, return lines, IC piping, and all associated work was already done and installed. Several calls to XS couldn't solve his fuel problem, as they weren't very quick to give out helpful info (of course, who can blame them). In the end, he overextended his budget and ran into debt, forcing him to sell the car and all the parts seperately.

808dRaStIkgts: yep, it's totally true. The track conditions at HRP are very poor (one lane is actually slightly uneven). My uncle's old school Chevy buddies have told me on several occasions that HRP is a good .5 seconds slower than the tracks on Kauai, Maui, or Big Island. The location also sucks ass. Keep us updated on your friend's project! I was bummed when the other turbo GT-S had to be taken apart before getting a chance to make a pass at HRP.

You danged bastards in Maui without recon! Dammit! If you come down to Oahu, hit us up. ;)

that's good news Kaizer!! should be here just in time when I get back from LA. That was Keilan's (sp?) car... "VvtliTurbo"? He spent a couple hours at my house when he picked up my stock exhaust I let him have. Yep, he talked to Chad too trying to figure out how to solve the fuel problem.

hey 808Ra man what kind of car do you have, I have a friend that lives on maui and he said he has seen this tight as hell red celi thinks it was spraying but not sure, you race up there much, and I am not sure if your shop up there can get the turbo from what i have heard right now xs is giving the turbo to hypers partly cause I expressed interest along time ago and it sounds like they are also the only shop who can do it right at the present time but it is definetly worth a try let me know how it goes and when i get that turbo on you should come down to oahu man come check it out it should be pretty tight:)

here on maui, theres lots of celicas running bottles and rite now, theres a conflict against the new si ,tiburon,neon,wrx...n whAT makes it fun is that everybody kicks it the same place, and it gets really wild..let me drop it down
