Hi guys,

I've just got installed my Eibach Pro-Kit springs, whose advertised drop is 30 mm. Remember TTE lowering springs are Eibach made so they should be the same or very very similar. Also TRD springs in USA are supposed to be the same Eibachs.

Well, after installation and more than 50 km trying to make springs work and settle, the drop is barely 12 mm!!!

What the ****??? Did they do something wrong at installation time or what? Can any of you find a decent explanation or should I complain to Eibach straight away???

The people who installed them told me that maybe in 5,000 or 6,000 km they would go down more, but honestly I don't believe that. I believe that most of the drop should be noticeable at the very moment you install the lowering springs. Don't you think?

Pinota, did you ever measure your TTE drop? had any problems like me?

Guys, I'm sooooo disappointed... I thank you all in advance for your replies.

thats messy..

i have been waiting to do the suspension on mine since the arrival of "brick" speedbumps in the localle.. it seems the tarmac ones weren`t doing enough damage to lowered cars or something!

i actually think 12-15 mm would be just right for me, cos 30mm would definatly murder my car!

who sold them to you? how much? any change in handling? a total waste of time? or not?

i have heard our suspension in UK/EI is much a much stiffer and higher ride due to our crappy roads.. maybe you need to alter more then the springs?

About the springs: I ordered and installed them at an aftermarket & tuning specialist garage. 100% unofficial ;) though I still have 1 year of warranty for the car. I paid 276

eibachs don't give a good drop, thats why I imported my springs from japan.

One way would be to get Shocks to lower then (koni or something) but thats even more money...

Hey, could you tell us what kind of springs did you import from Japan? How much drop did you get? How does te importing work and does it affect price a lot?

And when you say Eibachs don't give a good drop, you mean they drop less than announced?

the H&R springs are good also, nice drop. And you can get them from Germany.

I have H+R springs from postert. Decent drop of 30mm. The drop does increase over a few hundred miles. Definitely noticable.
