they r not likely to give u a sponsorship just if u own a lot of their products. Companies from personal experience require a portfolio of your vehicle with all modifications listed, pictures of the vehical, shows its attended, shows it plans to attend, what it has won, what other companies are sponsored, if it has been featured on a website, if it has been scheduled to be in a magazine, what the future plans are for the vehicle, who does the work on the car, where the car will be located, where it will be able to go if needed for a show... if i am missing anything please someone fill in
what makes you think they will want to sponsor you? what can you give in return?

most sponsers require you to attend x number of cars shows, and they all have different requirments and contracts

and mine will be done outta the shop and dan's (hombre's) will be attending and possibly justins (lowredcrzr, one with the supra engine celica)... many celicas attending florida shows as of the late. Its all on what the company is looking to advertise with, what they feel best expresses their product. I for one know that what has pleased some of the companies I have been picking up is the fact that I show in multiple states, FL durin the year and during the summer I show in: MA, NY, NJ, CT.
Just try to make your portfolio as impressive as possible with many pictures, etc, and cross your fingers.

greg is right. I currently have 12 sponsors and most I have sent proposals and protfolio to. you can just try by emailing them if they do not have online form. Normally you need to send pics, listing of past/future shows, mag editions, dvd's, upcomming mag shoots, current/past sponsors. Also the proposal is the most important part. this says why they should give u something to advertise for them. why will your car stand out and why will yours be better then somone elses to get attention. Most companies will not reinberse you for current items and do not care all to much if you already some of their products. mainly becsaue you have so much of theirs now, what would you want from them. these are all questions you need to have answers for before applying. if you need more help let me know
btw greg meguires is sending me bunch of free crap before daytona ;)

Umm just a suggestion being i have freinds that were sponsered by audio companies, most audio companies dont care as much for car shows but more for sound off shows as is SPL,SQ competions, granted u can possibly get one for shows but its more unlikely, they want db sheets on how good your car sounds or how hard it hits with thier merchandise and also another reality of the topic is do you have the funds to hit the shows enter the comps cause if its an audio class sponsership you have to hit and place in so many shows (get points) to qualify for world final comps and probably traveling will be a big deal being the shows are very sporadic in destination like my buddy who has competed in and placed 3rd in world finals had to travel to 4 diff states to get to sanctioned events. another point i would like to make is if you are to get alpine to sponser you and if they want you to go to sound offs you better check the specifications/rules of the wattage classes to compete in cause if over do the install as in make the customization to vast it could put u in a modified/pro class and then you would be SOL and lose your sponsership and also look like an idiot cause you have a nice install and cant touch the competition becasue u hit or sound 10-30 db lower than the 2nd to last place, by the looks of things you would be competeing in the SQ class, and just to tell ya what my buddy was sponsered by focal and still his total install bill was 20,000 + some but yet he placed first and broke a record in his class for SQ so being sponsered by a company isnt the greatest thing in the world it can cost you more than you think if you have to travel, getting alpine to sponser is unlikely, it could happen, and good luck to ya but just make sure u have some bank and the time, also the reason i said its unlikely is because companies as big as alpine have thier own demo vehicles for shows
me i have 3 sponsers YAY

this post is not going the right way anyways i know its not hard to get sponsorships but right now i dont want too many because of my availability to goto shows and stuff but turbokits.com are pretty laid back about it so im happy with them for now. oh and for the C/F arent you guys scared to mess up or get scracthes on the C/F cuz i know i cant have all that C/F inside and keep it looking nice

Nope never a problem. well one time, when i was installing my c/f headliner and my trunk setup did not allow me to go through the back. so i had to go through the pass side door and i sratched up the dash. i just ended up sanding and reclearcoating it. though that was my fibercation dash and the new topshop dash is perfect :D Only issue is it shows dust bad but i have a little swiffer thing in the back seats and it makes quick work of the dust

carbon fiber is addictive.i am still trying to decide how to get some in my interior without making it look just like yours.

lol its all good. imitation is a form of flattery. though you would have to get a jdm console then have it modified larger to be exactly like mine. if you get a regular jdm wrapped you would still only be one of 3 i belive with one (woody, my old one who tanner now has, and then yours)

arrr ive been meaning to call them. They sponsor alot of cars, ive even known shops that are sponsored by them... they are ALL over at car shows, just goes to show what you can do when your the leading company in the product that you make :gap:

i have a screen molded into the console but its not the jdm console and i was thinking about having it wrapped but dont know if it would sit well with the flat back dash still deciding.
hombredelassrta
03-16-2007, 03:59 PM
flat back dash? i'm sure topshop can wrap damn near anything :)
greddyturb0
03-16-2007, 10:51 PM
yea but im kinda low on funds and i have alot of stuff that is put back cuz circumstances so i am trying to ge the car look half as decent as it would perform for now and perfect it as i go along. but i am planning on getting my spare dash wrapped after i get the other one installed just not anytime soon.
