Stupid frikken rain. waste of $10. well i got 1 run in before it rained. i ran a 5.0 mustang. little more than 1/2 tank of gas, no spare. 1.2 reaction time, almost 2.4 60' time, ran a 15.8 pos time. car is defanatly alot faster with the s-afc and the exahaust un bolted, the flange got pushed back into place. i thought i was gonna run a 16.5 by the crappy launch i had. i tried reving to 3200 to launch, and i let the clutch out and it bogged down to 1200 rpm , im still not sure what i did wrong. i dont know how i got a 2.394 60' its beyond me. trapped out at about 88mph. i thought i would get the oppotunity to make it up to myself but the stupid rain ruined it all. i saw a merceded '95 v12 conv. ran a 13.9 LoL. fast little bitch. i also saw a yellow viper gt-s run a 12.1. it was a little breexy tonight and i thought i would get a break and see how much the s-afc improved the time but i futzed it up. oh well, i know it made a difference.
i made white smoke with my tires today for the first time :)

don't feel too bad I went to Moroso tonight and my best time was 15.9 and I didn't stay in second cam during my shift from 1st to second, in fact I only stayed in VVTLi once in 4 runs, and 2 of the runs they didn't even give me a time slip because the machine fuked up. and Moroso cost $15. For some reason the track at moroso wasn't that great tonight. my freind with a GSR that should be doin 14's best time was a 15.5. It was a disapointing night.

Just so you know, Moroso is a very slow track. Not only is it hard to hook up on the launch, but it just feels like a slow track all the way through. I didn't go tonight because I figured it would end up rained out.
What performance mods do you have done?

Fast Mods: Injen CAI, Kazuma Exhaust
Slow Mods: 19" rims, Full system built with 1" thick MDF (about one entire sheet of MDF used), a front bumper full of bondo
I ran in gainesville race track and my 60ft was 2.3's and I was running 15.3's in the 1/4 at 90 MPH, at Moroso I couldn't get a 60 better than 2.6
i didn't think wind would be in the favor of going to the track. hopefully we'll continue the nightly cool weather and you can test your car out next week adam - maybe friday. it's good to see that the s-afc & no-exhaust provided you a good difference. i've read that the s-afc provides a minor effect and has me hesitant on the purchase. i'm sure you'll do better next time :)
headers: i talked to ken yesterday and he said HS shipped 5 headers about two days ago. meaning, it'll take at least 7 days to arrive. do you know if you're in that 5?

yeah i was the second person to order and i ordered 2. fin was right after me i am pretty sure, and scott was before me.
luna, in a GT automatic the mods dont make as much of a difference as they do in my car since the power is lost within the tranny, you prolly wouldnt feal the actual difference in gear. People think the S-afc does nothing for some reason and they are misinformed. you can especially feal the difference when you are in nuertal and revving the engine, you can hear and see the rpms wind up faster. the top of second gear is awesome. prolly how i was able to get a good 60' time with a ****ty launch. id say the way my car is now. intake, s-afc, no muffler theres no reason why it shouldnt get a 2.2 60' time every time. unless i mess it up.
i have yet to run on moroso, i want to just so i know weather or not it is really a slow track. i have spoken to ALOT of people who have run at moroso who live up here and orlando, they say moroso isnt that good of a track, but bithlo is worse. so many people from palm beach have told me this over and over. everyone here in orlando knows bithlo is a dump in the middle of cow pasture. i got hit in the leg with a stone or something in the staging area last night. its messy, the staging area is all ripped up and uneven, after the 1000' mark it turns into a gravel road. so i think moroso isnt as bad as you think, relative to bithlo track upkeep and condition.

Raul I think this is more conclusive evidence that Moroso is a slower track. My best 60' so far has been a 2.338 with a 1/4 mile time of 15.439.

Well, not only that, but it also depends on what lane you're racing in!... my 14s were both in the miller lite lane (hehehe)... but oddly enough, my best 2.2 60' was in the roger dean lane... go figure...

ayy since u live in otown drive an hour and half to gainesville, the track there is very nice trust me. its worth the drive and there aren't that many people there you can always get atleast 5 runs in last time I had basically unlimited runs.
