I recently purchased S7 AC gauge for my Celica. I followed the instructions on one of the forums on this site for installing it and it didn't work. What I did was install the overlay on the gauge cluster. Purchased a Add a Circuit kit from Pep Boys. Wired the positive cable to the Add a Circuit kit and connected the kit to the taillight fuse insertion spot. I used two 10A fuses in the kit. I connected the ground wire to the frame of the car using the bolt behind the center console. Then I finished connecting the gauge to the inverter box. What I get is power to the dimmer switch and no power to the gauge itself. I tested the black clips coming out of the inverter box and it showed that they were getting no power. But the dimmer switch was working, so at least some of the power was going through the inverter box...Am I doing something wrong? I'm new at all of this stuff but I am trying. Please help me out!! If it's just the inverter box, where can I purchase a new one without having to get the gauge? I searched online with no luck! I'm out of ideas.... :AF:

I have a similar problem... "eurolite" indiglo guage face... hooked ground to chassis... and 12V wire to ACC under stering wheel.. i get 11.4 volts out of the inverter where the guages connect.. i assume this is not enough volts or something because i get no light from dash.. does anyone know the output voltage of the inverter for these types of guages??? should it be AC coming out instead of DC???

Try running it straight to the parking lights. If you are running it from the light in the cig lighter then that is the problem. You need a stronger current. I did that with mine, wouldnt work off of the 12 v put if I put it on the parking light (tapped into it) then it works fine.

try puting the ground on the cig lighter. or try adjusting the dimmer switch, press all the buttons about ten times, one at a time.
