When Arming and Disarming TDS, no beeps

Well, just got the 2002 GT-S 6-speed, mica blue, agressive styling, etc etc... The alarm was working just fine, it would give out beeps while arming and disarming, but then out of nowhere the car stops beeping, just flashes the lights. I read the TDS manual and there is a procedure to enable or disable the beeping if you want "silent mode" i guess. I followed the steps and the car beeped to acknowlege it was back in "beeping mode" but it still does not beep while arming and disarming. Any help would be appreciated,

You got a manual for the alarm? I didn't...could you tell me how to change it to silent mode? If you could I would really appreciate it.

i put up a manual somewhere in the TSB forum.. i think its in the TSB thread.

to go to silent mode the manual says do the following:
1) Disarm System
2) Turn Ignition on and off
3) Within ten seconds press the valet button 6 times
(Valet button is red to the bottom left of the steering wheel.)

The car should beep twice i beleive, ackknowleging silent mode.
Repeat the process to switch back to non-silent mode.

I did all of this and it still wont beep when i arm and disarm. Bah
