I'm looking forward to get a GT within the next month or so and I would like to hear from GT owners if there's any known problem for the car.

I test drove it today and like it a lot. Clutch is very forgiving (compare to what I'm driving now...a 2001 Civic EX) but shifter is very tight. The car only has 2k kms so it probably need some more break-in time.

Since I do a lot of highway drivings (200 kms each day) I want to know if this car feels stable at triple digit speed due to it's light weight. That's one of the reason I'm trading in my 01 Civic for a new car...the thing doesn't track on the highway and little crosswind will throw it off course.

Problems with the car: To many girls seem to cling to it :D... Seriously I have had my GT for about 12 months now I have no coplaints other than what I have noted above... You should be really happy with it on the freeway... Before you get the GT test drive a GTS but be very careful shifting from 3rd to 4th (common problems with the 00 & 01 GTS) you might get a kick out of the GTS... Im sure that the GTS people on the board will agree... Anyway good luck with the buy... Later...

Get what you can afford, you'll be happy either way. Unlike some folks, I dont' suffer from "S" envy because I bought at GT. 3 grand is a lot of dough. 9 out of10 beautiful car models can't tell the differnce. I drive my GT 100 miles each day at 85-90 mph, and I love it. I haven't had any problems, and I've had it for a year, with a little more than 30k miles on it. Make sure you get a standard transmission.

Thanks for all the comment. I'll be getting a 5 speed and that's what I test drove yesterday. About the only thing I don't like is it feels a bit cramp inside and the hard plastic interior. But overall the car feels solid.

I'll go again and ask for a test drive on the highway. I just gotta make sure it won't be like by Civic. I hate it when the car drifts all over the place when I'm doing 130-140 km/h.

The GT is great, I would have liked the GT-S but after all the probs some of my friends are having with theirs I'm glad I got the GT, and for auto crossing it's better then the GT-S I think it has more torque then the GT-S probably not that much. I have had my car for almost 2 years and I have 29300 miles on it and it hasn't given me any problems, as for the shifter it will loosen up once it's broken in, Get a TWM SS though it is a little tighter but it does loosen up and is great.

Have had my GT for 10 months and am quite happy although I do wish it had a more power. I like the shifter, but find the highway ride a little noisy, it's no cruiser, but stable.

GT is just as nice as GT-S except in performance. GT still holds its own ground though. You will like how it drives on freeway at triple digit speed. You will like the gas mileage and everything else. I do wish that I had a GT-S but I am perfectly satisfied with my GT. I will not give this puppy up unless it was a Integra Type-R.

I've had my gt for 2 years and my only complaint is how much time I have had it in the body shop... but it has nothing to do with mechanicle failure. The gt is a very solid car and you willl enjoy it that is for sure

definitely tru...i've seen some gt-s that were just plain SLOW....my freinds sister had a gt-s 6 spd..and i used to take it for rides and it was sloooooowwwww.......thats another reason why i feel my gt is a freak....casue it is definitely faster than hers..and hers had sooo many problems she finally traded it in for amaxima....

Is it true that the GTS seems to be more problematic than the GT? At least that's how I feel when I spent the last couple days going through threads on this forum. People that are getting check engine lights, tranny/syncro problem, weird noises from the motor are mostly GTS owners.

2002 gts has a lower fuel cutoff than previous gts's.
the misshifts you may have read about are driver error.

Get the GT. I have the Panasonic Edition and love the looks. Take the extra money and buy some mods.
