Do you mean a button to move the start / crank function from your key cylinder to a button? Do you intend to bypass the necessity for a key alltogether?

i have NO CLUE what you're talking about...but what i think he's talking about is:
1. Put key in
2. press button
3. engine starts
its like an s2000 one. right? well do a search..i just did one, and it helped a little.

The botton is about $45.00, as far as the installation if you are not handy, let a shop do it.

The Push button starter kit should come with the instructions, it cost less than probably around $80 or less
But it's better if u have the shop install it

The instructions suck a$$ tho, if its an ignited button, it's not too hard, is just that the celica's wiring is a pain.....I put mine in myself and a friend's too, of course it took 3 hrs to figure it out.....

On the ignition switch connector theres a Black wire with a red tracer that always has 12V and a Black wire with a white tracer. If you want both switches enabled just T off both these wires and run 'em to your ignition button. If you want to disable teh factory crank ability you'll have to yank the black wire w/ white tracer out and run it only to the button. But quite frankly if you can't go to teh technical section read the wiring diagram and figure this out for yourself your much better off not ****ing with it.... you'll probably break something.

You do know that for something like that to work, you have to leave the key to the ignition in your car at all times. Doesn't sound like a good idea to me, but do what you like.

I wasn't saying I thought it wasn't a cool idea. In fact, I think it is awesome, but leaves the vehicle prone to carjacking. In the area I live in, I know my car would not be safe.

No you don't!!, you dont have to leave the key in the ignition at ALL times. I have this button and you only need the key in as normal. Get in the car, put the key to the ON position, press the button, then when you get where u going, turn the key off and leave.....it would be idiotic to design something that would require the key to stay on the ignition 24/7......

call code alarm up and tell them you bought one of their remote start kits and you need the wiring diagram of the Celica's ingnition...then just tap into the wires... then buy the "ignited" push button start kit... yea, it's around $70 for a button, bulb, and relay...but it's worth it... it's a novelty item to say the least, but it's pretty fun how it amazes people that you could use a button to start the car...makes it feel more like a race car, kinda...i dont' care what anyone says...i like it... mines set up that you still have to have the key to the "on" position to start for safety reasons...... i wish i still had the codes lying around but i threw them out after i gave them to larry... sorry... oh yea, a lil' word of advice...but some extra wire so you have enough slack to mount it in a nice spot, they don't give you d!ck in the kit...

I cant help with the wiring, though because I had a Toyota tech do mine. Only took him 25-30 minutes. Works like a charm.

Did you buy the Ignited Push button, or the S2000 button?
With the Ignited Push button, all you do is put the car in the "ON" position and press the button.
Yes, you can still start the car by turning the key.

I'm with Cash Money. I bought it because it looked neat, but I put mine close to the ignition instead of the cigarette lighter.

I thought of putting it where the hazzard button is, but I would have had to increase the size of the hole and relocate the hazzard button itself. Too much work. Plus its harder to see behind the steering wheel. Lets face it - eye candy is all this really is...

I was standing in school parking lot, then all of a sudden this prelude next to me just started up. At first I thought it was exactly what I thought it was, an auto-starter you can start from a distance, but, I didnt want to believe somebody at my school afforded such a thing. Ive always liked these things, but never paid attention to it, can somebody give me a pricing idea for something like that?

I bought my Ignited Push-button starter off eBay for like $30. I put it in myself too. If you have any clue about wiring, it won't be hard--just follow Ignited's instructions. If you have NO clue about wiring, let a shop do it. If you need help, check out the install on this site, or PM me and I will try to do what I can for you.
