i was driving him around and showing him the difference in the ride since i got the springs and struts. he decides that we should see if we could get some nice times. he gets in his car (96 240sx "soon to be turbocharged") and im following him. get on the 95 and are cruz'n. we get to a open area and he's push'n it so i jump on it to catch up. btw this is in a clean area no cars for at least 2 miles and nothing behind us for a 1/4 mile or more. i pull up to him and at the top of 4th (wasnt looking at the speedo) drop it in to 5th and pushed it to 6000rpm i fell a tiny surge, guess it was the lift but i look back and he's falling back fast so i slow it down. btw another have and idea how fast that was. i didnt look i was watching the road and my rearview mirror for my friend.
oh well get off 95 and get on 520 heading for the track. for those that dont know 520 its 2 lane 90% of the way with passing 2 lanes every 10-20 miles. we are cruz'n again about 70-80 most of the way. well its clean most of the time and then i notice blue headlight picking up speed behind me. my friend is ahead of me and we are about to hit a 2 lane passing zone. get to the passing area and the car pulls up to my rear and i see its a 00' mod'd maxima. it drives past me non-threating and get next to my friend. i see the maxima pulling forward and slowing down. so im friend gun's it and they are taking off. i drop it in 3rd right at 6300 rpm and wow im thrust'd foward and shift to 4th again i begin pull'd closer and closer to both of them. my friend is ahead by a car and im flying hard up on the maxima. get up close and he looks at me like "holy sh!t". my friend slows and the maxima pulls ahead and flips his lights off for a few seconds and then just keeps the pace. i drop back behind my friend and we follow him for a little bit, kinda play'n with him.
well this part suck'd, get about 2 miles from the track and boom, we are hit by a florida flash storm. closed the track and we are sent home. we even check'd the weather channel and it was clear. we headed home and did alittle speeding down 95. that was it. OHHh yeah i saw to silver cel gt talling each other (dealer cars) and i flashed them and they flashed back it was pretty cool.
