Ok, just wondering what the differences are in terms of handling. Are sway bars better? Or do they do different things? Thanx a lot!

I am pretty sure sway bars are more effective, but I am not sure why. I know one thing.... strut bars are a whole hella easier to install. :)

They are both easy to install. The sway bars keap the chasis from rolling in cornering and the strut bars just stiffen up the chasis and prevent it from flexing under cornering load.

the only difficult part of the sway bar installation is for the front sway bar which requires dropping the engine brace....

DEFINATELY a newbie question.

Strut bars are bars that connect the two struts (shocks) on the left and right side of the car... usually they attach at the top where the bolts mount to the chassis.

Sway bars (actually anti-sway) bars attach the tie rods to the chassis of the car... they help reduce body roll (side to side) by restricting the movement of the left or right strut using the opposite side.

do a search.. there are many threads out there about these topics.

QWIK answer..... Chasis is on the bottom of the car... Sway bars attatch on bottom to help eliminate the "body roll or chasis flex" that comes from the CHASIS......!!!!! Strut tower brace is on top where ther is limited flex... However, it still helps.... ( Depends on which manufacturer U go with)...!!!!! GTS LAID...!!!!! a little help over here...!!!!!!!!

sorry, maybe i didn't explain the question properly...I understand the differences on what they are, what they do, etc. what i meant is what kind of "driving" differences there are between the two. Will they give the same effect, only less pronounced on the strut bar?
