Hey guys,

I was wondering, since on the drivers side you have the auto window button, which when you press once it can go all the way down, could you install it on the passengers side? so that you have both windows going down by just pressing it once?

That'd be pretty cool. I wouldn't mind having mine like that.

There was a writeup on how to do this a while back...

I tied both windows into the driver side control, since I almost never roll just one window down.

I just hit the down button once on the drivers side, and both windows go down automaticly.

The up button brings both windows up as well.

Wanted to mention there is another easy way to accomplish this, if you get a car alarm with the windows module (in addition to being able to control the windows by remote) it enabled auto up and auto down on both windows... Pretty nice, of course do you even want an alarm? They don't do much good when the theif rips the sirens out of the car...

Does the passenger still have individual control of their window with this setup?

No, both windows now work off of one control.

It was a side effect from doing a DIY remote control window.

I like it though, I get into the car, press one button, and both windows go down.

is there anyway to add extra connection so the passenger can be rolled up down w/the passenger button?

do you know where this write up is? is it on how you can set the passengers window to auto like the drivers?

but you saying that if you link them together.. WHAT IF you do a seperate switch and they will be both independent auto switches?

My view on this is if it's the switch itself that controls the autodown, then getting a driver's switch from a donor car should do the trick for the passenger window. Seeing as to how both windows were wired on the driver's side by v3bahumut, it should be possible. I don't see why not, so why don't you try it out for us and make a writeup :chuckles:

If anyone feels like doing this my way, I drew up a diagram.

Keep in mind there are simpler ways to do this, and my setup is for remote controlled windows, rolling both at the same time without independant control, with the parts I had laying around.

So no comments about how I could have used DPDT 2way

Great stuff v3bahumut!

unfortunatly the passengers switch will go up and down depending on the driver, i was wondering if you can have two seperate autodown buttons which both work seperately

As I recall.. the major write up was for adding auto up to the driver's side... which was just the addition of a piece of plastic... I seem to recall that auto on the passenger side was alot more difficult unless you had the oversea's switch panel.. the relays for it aren't in the US version.

A window roll-up alarm module would do the trick, as mentioned...

I see.. so you can basically say its close to impossible to have a seperaate autodown for the passenger..
