I got that single din cd player mount thing, the one that matches the console. and i can't get it to mount right. i know you use your stock mounting brackets on the single din cd player, but i have a sony cd player right now and it won't mount to the damb brackets. the holes don't line up anywhere. even if i figured that out it seems pretty hard to figure where to drill into the plastic piece to mount it to the brackets.
this sucks, other people have this, how'd you do it???

I have a Double DIN deck.. the Pioneer FH-P8800.. I really want this matching trim piece. Unfortunately its for single DIN only. You think it would be possible to get it and cut out the section bigger to fit my double DIN using a dremel tool or something?

i'm telling you, the stock stereo mounting brackets, they don't just screw onto the cd player. holes don't line up anywhere. at all. so no one has had a problem at all with that?

if the holes don't match the stereo holes, drill the metal plates you pulled off the stock deck. thats what I did. and I got a pioneer deck.

All you have to do is get a few nuts and short bolts and bolts the faceplate to the holes at the end of the stock mounting brackets. The method you will need to use to mount the head unit into the new faceplate is the one using that metal sleeve with the push out tabs. So the head unit will be mounted to the face plate and the face plate will be mounted to the stock brackets.
Once you get it all put in there, adjust the faceplate so that it is flush, pull the whole thing back out of the dash, and tighten up the bolts. Done.
