GT vs. Jetta Turbo!!!!

Wow, I was suprised with my gt auto, i raced my friend with his 1.8 jetta turbo auto, I got him off the line tell about 20 mph and then he caught right back up and got about a bumper ahead of me and when we hit about 75 mph i started gaining on him, and then we stopped at 80, cause the road ended, but i was suprised that the gt auto kept up with him.

I've had similar experiences with manual Jetta 1.8Ts....though I didn't know they made them in automatic too.

they actually made the 1.8t in auto?? didnt know that..

The Wolfsburg is the only 1.8T not offered in auto, that i know of

The 1.8T Jetta/GTI (not wolfsburg) gets a 5-speed Tiptronic automatic, I know that for sure in 2002
