Installing type r speakers

OK guys i need your opinion, can my alpine headunit power 2 type r speakers that are rated 110 rms max? I have the CDA-9856 headunit which says that max output is 4 channels at 50 rms. Is this too much over-drive for the amp, i dont want to screw my speakers up.

It will be fine, but your speakers definititley won't be used to their full potential.

You'll be delivering about 22W to each speaker using the built-in amp on your HU. Yeah, definitely a LOT lower than the 100W RMS on your Type-Rs. You need to get a decent 4 channel amp (keep looking at Alpine's amps) to find an amp with 100W RMS on each channel.
