well i was at the track last night and made a very stupid move....i was goin on one of my passes and at the end went to go from 5 to 6 and instead hit 4th...while leting out clutch i slammed it back in cus i felt what i had done. but the car completly shut off no power steering brakes nothing the oil light came on and the car would nt start...had it towed on my buddies trailer to his shop...iv researched and i hope the motor isnt blown...maybe i can fix some stuff? oil pump rod bearing lift bolts pistonn what all would be messed up from this mistake....iv had the car for almost 2 years now and never miss shifted ..and when i do i did it at track...****tiest day ever ...hope it isnt to much money...anyu suggestions

Your engine is probably shot man.
Here is what your oil pump is going to look like.

Sorry to break it to you, but your another victim of mis-shifting. I'll be more than happy to help you work on it when I get back from Texas.

Hmm if you finished the pass at the top of fourth you should already been slowing down so I dont see how you could have over reved it.

i don't see how misshifting into 4th would do that...i go from 5th or 6th to 4th all the time

umm i think he said he was at the top of 5th....so from the top of 5th to 4th would more than likely blow the engine...

so iv been looking at parts and possibly been thinkin abut rebuilding the engine but with modified parts such as rods, bearing, valves, crank, pistoins,,is the only thing im going to get from doing this more durability...i saw a 3zz kit for the gts wich comes with this is there any power gain by me doing these...or will i just be alble to abuse the motor more....cus my buddies shop raes dragsters and stuff so they can do the rebuild for me...than possible throw in a turbo...cus im in a loop her cus i was trying to sell my car to pay of my cobalt ss/sc but now i think im going to be stuck with this car so might as well build it will were in there right? what u guys think..i dont know much about the celicas response with thse mods.
