ok i am new to the clutch flywheel stuff so can you guys help me out. what is the differene between the act street clutch and the 4and 6 puck clutch? what the hell is puck? Also, when buying a flywheel i am looking for the lightest one correct? and how is Fidanza's flywheel? is it light. any good? also does anyone know where i can find these cheap. i saw $338+ shipping for the flywheel. i dont knwo about the clutch. thanks in advance.

all i know is the fidanza is the lightest for the celica that i know of.

Here's what the "pucked" clutch looks like

It highly recommend the street clutch. With the racing clutches (the pucked one), here the main thing you benefit is better engagement. The some of the downsides are:

1. Harsh engagement on the street
2. You'll have to rev up the engine to launch it somewhat smoothly
3. The better engagement, great for launching, but kills the transmission very quick.


Light-weight Flywheels
The advantage & disadvantage is revs up AND down faster. You'll have to be very quick in shifting. It will be something you'll end up getting used to. The revving down faster may actually be of benefit to you, because the synchros (if you time it right) will do less work, and thus last longer.
