You could say that... I've been going to car shows and the track since I was 17. 10 years... wow that just made me realize I am getting olllld. I have organized, ran, and worked several car shows in the past. Organized a few small owners type events. I also worked for a shop in LI for a few years, I've primarily worked on my own cars or helped when it was being worked on, had my cars put in shows up and down the east coast. I know a few people in the industry just from being at so many shows and especially the past 2 years when my Celica started winning some bigger awards.

Nothing will be running around anytime soon other than my dog! I like my hips the way they are thanks! LOL!
I think I'll be back to showing in '09. The wedding is just consuming all of my free time and extra spending money right now.

Its at Nassau Coliseum this year? Oh hell yeah, I'll be there. Shea Stadium is a zoo, especially now with Citi Park being built right next to it.

50/50 chance. We are thinking about it. It mostly depends when I talk to the guy if we can miss working roll-in on Friday. I don't want to take the day off work just to park some cars Friday night.

Alright I'll be there from noon to midnight on Saturday. I can't make it for roll-in Friday because of work. Make sure you come say hi if you see me. I am pretty sure I will be one of the only female judges.
Matt, I'll see what I can do, I'll text you if I come up with anything! Too bad you can't get the day off, I could probably have gotten you in as a judge :)
Make sure you come say hi if you see me. Guaranteed

It was insanely crowded. Few really good cars. Celica with 350z headlight conversion. I missed it but heard about it.

I really liked the way the 350z headlights looked on the celica, I bet the G35 headlights would look even better. I didn't like the tail lights he had on them tho. They were the early 90's prelude tailights I think (correct me if im wrong). I didnt like how that celica had sooooo much fiberglass and junk on the inside, yet it also had a turbo. I guess you need the boost just to get its heavy ass rolling. Foolish if you ask me. I'd rather see nice clean looking cars w/o all sorts of tv's and such that just go fast. But thats just my .02

ahh that celica was there, it was at HIN Tampa too... i hate that thing, i personally think its hideous, one seat, million gauges that do nothing, a non running gigantic turbo. I feel that a show car should at least be able to be driven... but oh well. From what justin tells me, the kid who owns it knows pretty much nothing about it. The parents who own a shop registered their son as the owner so that they could have a young face be with the car, etc. That car has over 100k put into it. But i think itll only be showing for a little bit longer, it has already been around for over3-4 years now goin to national shows.

05-04-2007, 07:03 AM
Not many people are a fan of the owner of that Celica from what I hear. For many reasons.
Also - Greg, in order to win anything at HIN your car MUST be seen running and driven into the show. We didn't judge a few cars because they were pushed into the building.
silverCELICAgt-s
05-04-2007, 10:38 AM
hmm, well as of now i dont ahve a trailer so yes it will be getting driven. What about coming off a trailer in the parkin lot and driving in, is that allowed. Never heard that before. Maybe thats why that celica at HIN Tampa only won an audio award or somethin. And yes many peopple hate the people that own it... its a couple of hicks... u should see them in person, lol.
KrysyGT
05-04-2007, 11:46 AM
It can be trailored. It must be driven into the show area or at least seen running properly at some point by an NCCA official. It's in the NCCA rule book.
