well, skunk killer did my gauges a few weeks back and, yesterday i noticed my speedometer sitting at zero as i'm driving. but then a few minutes later it "catches" or something, and works fine after that. every time now i get in the car and it starts not working, sometimes it'll catch right away and start working again, and sometimes it won't. i've tried taking them back out out and unplugging them, plugging them in with the keys in for a few minutes to see if they "calibrate" or whatever, but they still are doing it. anyone know whats up or how i can fix this?

I would just take it to a shop that specializes in it. I live in the Orlando area as well, and there is a shop somewhere on the east side of town that specializes in speedometer repair since they have a huge sign speaking of it.

this happened to me. one of my speed sensors crapped out. the speedo would work sometimes and other times just sit at 0. took it to the dealership and they fixed it under warranty.

This was happening to me after I painted my needles, My needle wasn't on tight. You need to open it up and push it on some more, but be carefull and make sure the key is on the acc.

what do you mean make sure the key is on the acc. i need to open it while they're plugged in and do this?? or what. the night before i took the gauges all apart looking for anything and they all look fine. i tried pushing on the needles but i didn't really try that much. after putting them back in i let the key sit on acc for a minute or two. they are a little better but still not right. they may be just loose. but i'm not sure what you mean by the key on the acc.

either something electrical is not connected properly or the needle is stuck on something., i did my brothers car last year and the same thing happenend, with the extra layer of dial it was thick enoough to slow down the needle.
