I drive a 2001 Gt-s and it runs smooth most of the time, there is only about 5k miles and when i just park there, the car sometimes shakes for a little bit of time. The Rpm meter just drops from 1 and goes down slowly till it gets too zero and turns off. I dont know what the problem is, Does anyone have any idea why my car just shuts down?

No clue, but you should definitely take it to the dealer
Afraid of the thought of meeting ITRs on the road! :chuckles:
Honestly, check the air and fuel filters. If they appear fine I'd take it back to the Toyota dealership to let them have a "go over". Shouldn't be a big deal, though.

Hmm does it seem to do it mainly pretty soon after you get gas? If so you may be over-filling and saturating the charcoal canister. What happens then is if it purges under very low load conditions (like coasting to a stop or whatever) the engine gets this massive burst of liquid fuel as opposed to fuel vapor which it was expecting. Then it stalls out. If this is the case, simply stop pumping gas after the pump clicks for the first time.
Otherwise take it to teh dealer and get it checked out, could be a number of things.

I had a similar problem like that happen to my car. It ended up being a bad idle control air valve. I'm not sure how to test to see if this is what it is though, when my valve went the car was under warrenty, so I just dropped it off for warrenty repair work and thats what they ended up replaceing to fix the problem

You have to have a scan tool to test it since it is duty cycle operated. With a scan tool you can simply adjust the duty cycle up and down and its increases & decreases the idle verifying the operation of the valve.
