I drive a 2001 Gt-s and it runs smooth most of the time, there is only about 5k miles and when i just park there, the car sometimes shakes for a little bit of time. The Rpm meter just drops from 1 and goes down slowly till it gets too zero and turns off. I dont know what the problem is, Does anyone have any idea why my car just shuts down?

when my idle goes low it shakes too

if this happens often perhaps you can try raising your throttle cable to a higher idle location

instructions are on this site

If his car was idling properly before it will not be the throttle cable. The idle is not contolled by the cable (or shouldn't be if properly adjusted). Since your still under warranty I'd take it to your dealer and see what he says.

its your "idle control valve". Same thing happen to me and the dealership replaced the idle control valve and my belt tensioner.

its wierd.. now that he said that.. i was sitting at a stop light yesterday and my car (02 gt) idle'd down to about 500 and shuddered a little bit... I just gave it a little gas and it was fine. no problems after that.. why does this happen?

There have been many conversations over the years about fluctuations in the RPM at idle but I don't remember anyone having it die on them. Still suggest you see your dealer for warranty.
