I wonder if it's going to get the carbon fiber roof like the coupe.
Discuss. :eatpop:

The fender flares look terrible.
Since I hate the way the E90 M3 coupe looks I was hoping this would be better. It isn't. And it's not like BMW can't make good looking cars anymore, the Z4 M coupe is dead sexy.

I think it looks very nice. I'm tired of the 19 inch rims on every sporty car out there though.
I have officially forsaken BMW since the e90/92 - as they have forsaken drivers in the name of reaching the lowest common denominator consumer with a Camry-style (boring boring boring) driving experience
6-series and z4/z coupe are the only BMWs I will acknowledge - the rest of the company is dead to me.

IS-F > M3 Sedan styling wise.
IS-F > M3 Sedan styling wise.
Too bad if anyone makes a more boring car than BMW, its Lexus
at least with Mercedes and Audi you get real screaming insano engines on the AMG/RS models
I mean have you seen or heard that 6.2L in the AMGs? That engine is FEROCIOUS. And they somehow managed to shoehorn it into the CLK.

yup.
Thats why i said styling. :gap:
There are a few AMGs running around near me and they are just Sechs.

I thought this was the E92? Or is that just the coupe? The coupe looks a lot better.

everything i've heard about the 6 is that it's boring to drive and that it might as well be a 5 series with two less doors

It looks sexy as ****. I'd rather have it.

E90 = sedan
E92 = coupe
they both suck hard core - and I'm a BMW fanboy

Exactly - that's why you get a 6 - its sex on wheels.
And the 5 series isn't exactly a bad drive either - it blows every other midsize sedan out of the water in terms of driving dynamics (especially with the active roll stability system - basically computer adjustable swaybars) - it just has some very very annoying features like iDrive and a Bangle Butt

I used to think the 6 looked good but I started to dislike it when I realized how massive it was. It's a grand tourer (spl?) trying to pose as a coupe. for 80 grand I would rather take 911 or a cayman. Or, to stick within BMW, get a 550i for the same driving dynamics with four doors plus a mr-2 or some other sports car. If only i had 80 grand :wtc:
I still don't know why people are buying this car, to me it's nothing special at all. It's just people seeing that its a BMW and going crazy over it
edit: i just went and looked it up, it's freaking 190 inches long. :wtf: thats huge

I'm disappointed to find out that the M3 is around $70k out the door.... if that's the case, it would be a stretch for me... cross that off my list for now. I hope the IS-F would be $50k or so.

grand tourers are coupes - this car is an absolute epitome of a grand touring vehicle - sexy, big, 4 seats, tons of power, respectable handling
if you want a sports car, there are plenty available
the dimensions of the 6 series are nearly identical to the 5th generation Camaro

by coupe, i meant sports car - i've always looked at the 6's target market as the sports segment, not the touring segment. even if the length isn't huge (even though it is still large) its weight is massive. those are just the reasons for which i dont like it - to me there are so many cars that can do the same thing it does, sometimes better, for better prices - for some reason it bugs me that this car gets so much attention

The base is around $53K. You're way off.
IS-F was marked around $45K I believe.

right
no way in hell are there going to be any stripper models lying around the lot, and no way are you going to be getting any deals under MSRP for a few years
you could probably order one - that's what I did with my Z4 - but it would take a hell of a long time cuz it has to come from Germany (whereas my car came from Souf Curralina)
