I want to lower my car soon for an affordable price. Say like $200. What are the best sport springs that make a noticeable difference but still ride somewhat smoooth? I dont think the TRDs drop it enough
Thanks

How low do you want to drop it? I have a two finger gap with my TRD springs.

i purchased a set of OBXr coilovers from massivemotorsports.com(b4 they were my sponsor) for $150 and installed them myself.they r fully adjustable for 0-4 inch drop. If u tell them Jon with the white and red celica sent u might get a discount =).

i have the front all the way down and the back 3/4 down. yes it does affect the camber but with an alignment it can be almost fully corrected.

the lower the worse ride. I like TRD cause it still gives you a good ride and it isn't 2" off the ground its closer to 2.50 to 3.00 " so ya it doesn't look as low as slammed cars.. Think about what a rough ride is going to do to your suspension in the long term. Then think about it.
-edit:
It does affect the camber, you have to correct it with crash bolts past 1" drop.. I have my camber set at 2.0 degrees, which is alot. Some cars with serious slamms have 3.0 degrees which eats tires every 5,000 miles, you can run without camber correction and it'll drive wierd and handle worse while screwing up your suspension all at once.

I got H&R's stage 2, they're lower than TRD, but not too low, so you don't need crashbolts or anything. Ride is fine (even on stock shocks), but I had to get an alignment after the springs settled (4-5 days).

leave civic in the dust I agree with you on the TRD springs they don't look dropped. But don't go cheap with OBX. if you want to go low get coil over system. and camber isn't a big problem because you can just get a alignment and it will solve it. I heard that the hotchkis coilovers are nice but I never sat in a car with them. I got ground controls and most of the honda people I know have them, I would rate them top notch for the $400 you pay. They have eibach springs so u know the spring quality is top notch. I used to ride with the fronts all the way down and the rear almost all the way down and hardly ever bottom out. . Ride quality was straight. Right now I am riding all the way up front and rear because my front end fuked up and the ride quality right now is great. Hope that answers your question, I can drop your car in prob less than an hour and half...

I got a set of GC's used off the boards for about $150. In general if you're not in a hurry to get parts for your car, I'd suggest keepin' an eye out on the For Sale and GB forums. This is where you can get really good deals on most stuff.... As for the GC's I don't have them slammed, but you can definitely tell the car's lowered. I need to get some new shocks because I'm starting to get some creaking outta my stock ones. Anyone have any aftermarket shock suggestions that would go well w/GC's?

What about the Goldline springs? Everyone who has them said that they were good. and not expensive. I believe it gives a 2" drop.

I've got the Eibach Sportline kit. Its a 2" drop all the way around and is really nice. But the ride has gotten really rough. I originally had the Eibach Pro-Kit drop, but it wasn't low enough for me. This drop I have now is great!

I have Progress spring on my car. It gave me a finger and almost a half. I did go with Hotchkis camber kit to be safe for my tires. The ride is pretty much stock but a little better. Also the price is right too. I got mine for $140.00 shipped to my house from Option auto salon, but I knew a guy that work there that hook me up. Now he doesn't work there anymore :wtc: Well, the good new it 147.00 plus shipping. It still not a bad price. Here the site: www.optauto.com
Good Luck,
Dan
