I ordered my Kaminari body kit today. Any loving advice from the body kit veterans?

dont drive hard your first day, might want to learn your limits as far as how low you are... take driveways slow till you learn how to navigate them (diagonal ;) )

but i dont know what your drop is so you might not have to do the extremes like i do and some others...

I'm curious to why you got a kit, it's just extra weight. (No flaming intended)

probably because they look nice.

Yeah, I agree that they look nice but Maelfyn is always trying to set new GT 1/4 mile records and the kit is going to slow him down...

he should just run with no front bumper cover on! the thing weighs liek 20+ pounds, plus he could get diret ram air to his cold air intake! heh

true. BUT.... u are replacing the stock urethane front, with the kam urethane front, how much heavier is it? Plus, you're replacing the stock rear bumper with the Kam F/G rear which 'should' be lighter... you are adding some weight, but I'm not sure if it's as 'heavy' as some people might first think

I have the kam kit with the trd springs and I scrape very easily on inclines. I have to take them at angles or I scrape bad. I'd think he would be lower with 15" rims, but I could be wrong.

I have 215/40/17s and TRD springs. And really the only weight being added is the side skirts which is hardly significant. Besides, I feel my racing days are over. I have no motivation to go out there and run a 14.4 which is not impossible with DRs and a pulley kit.

I figure why bother anymore. I went far beyond what anyone ever expected from a GT so I can live with that. I am better off sticking with the strong points of this car. Reliability, dead sezzy looks, and gas milage. I'll get some pics up in about a month when the kit is ready.

I was being sarcastic....Joe and I know that a "urethane" body kit is NOT gonna hinder your "performance" in the celica.........eventually the "appearance bug" gets to the speed nut......hehe
