Check engine light disable question

Is this possible? to disable the check engine light? like by cutting the wire that turns it on in the gauge cluster thing

I'm sure it's possible, but not very smart. If something really goes wrong with your engine, you wouldn't know till you were sitting on the side of the road.

Clearing the CEL isn't as tough as people make it sound. Pull the EFI fuse under the hood for a few seconds, and it's gone. It takes me maybe an extra 30 seconds to do after turning off the car.
