Does anyone have these drilled/slotted rotors and pads? Theyre made by a company called R1Concepts in Anaheim, CA. They look like good quality stuff. Price is fantastic as well. Now I'm just looking for some reviews. Thanks all!

Never heard of them and they seem to do business only through eBay. Not really good signs.

the listing i posted above are made with cheapo rotors from china. no thanks lol. they do offer a premium line of rotors thats on their site. about $325 for all 4 rotors or $405 for all 4 rotors/pads.

I would go with the Power Slot Plus (cheap big brakes). Basically the rotor is oversized and it includes an adapter so you can use stock calipers...pretty neat.

I just bought some, you'll be fine. Now go get some cheap caliper paint at auto zone & have at it. Unless you really need that extra braking going into corners or flying up some old lady's tail pipe, big brakes are an uneccessary expense that looks cool. If you just want something other than the stock rotors looking ugly under your new rims the R1 concepts will do you right. Big brakes make no sense unless you run some sort of road course racing. :whogives: I don't call $900 for a set of those power slots "cheap" either. IMHO of course. :gap:

Beware, these will give you worse braking performance than stock.

I think the R1 concepts rotors are probably perfectly fine (as long as you don't get them drilled but that's true of any rotor) but I would pass on the brake pads.

thanks for the replies guys. yea, i wasnt looking at going with a BBK. more unsprung mass = teh lose.

i actually already painted my calipers silver using the G2 system. ;)

i'll probably end up getting the R1 premium rotors and hawk hps pads. either just slotted or drilled/slotted since i dont do any tracking and wont worry much about cracking the rotors. i'm just trying to find as much reviews as i can on the R1 rotors. :)

Drilled and slotted will crack under normal conditions plus the drilled holes won't do anything anyway. Stick to just slotted.

thanks, that was my first impression as well. it seems that the only drilled rotors that dont crack are those $$$ ceramic rotors.
