Like any car, not well. The FWD, while easier to control, and safer, becomes an annoying burden. Really make you wish for the fun of RWD.

The stock GT-S 16" Yokohamas tend to hydroplane a bit. Don't ask how I know...

Riddle me this: My auto GT-S seemed more unstable in the rain than my 6-speed. Identical wheels/tires and tire inflation. I still can't figure that one out.

Autos suck and 6spds rule!! That's the answer to that one :gap:
Anyway... How does that Lightning do in the rain? Mad torque and RWD = fun, fun, fun when you step on the pedal!
The stock Yoka's suck in the rain. Kuhmo Ecsta's are much better. Handling in the rain isn't too bad until you think the car can handle just as well as if it is dry. Theoretically, these "summer" or performance (whatever you call them) are better in the rain than all season tires because they "splash" away the water. All season tires certainly dominate in the snow though. Regardless, if conditions are nice and dry, you shouldn't be pushing the car, in which case, the Celica does just fine since it is FWD (dammit, should be RWD!!!!)

I try not to engage the supercharger which mean I keep the throttle to about 1/4. :D I took it around Skyline Drive a month or so ago and was going pretty fast around those twisty rainy roads.
BTW: I think I should have gotten MAD TORQ or MAD TORK on my plate. Hmmm.

yeah, i had that happen to me at 4am months back, road was wet but not bad, hit a patch of water and the front start'd to pull left, thank god i has able to pull though... few weeks later i found that i had no tread left on the front. got new tires and they fix'd that problem.
