i've read a few posts and i understand that the 2000Gt's have smaller rotors/callipers then 00- mid 01...i just recently bought some rotors and everything is ok but it seems to be too big and i cant get the caliper bolts in. do shops even sell the PROPER size rotors for the 2000GT's? does toyota sell them..how much would they charge approx? thx for any help!

well most likely those aren't for the 2000 gt, i'm sure if you go to a dealer they can get the part. I'm not sure what the difference is but i do know that the 00 GT uses a smaller caliper, maybe if you get a GTS caliper you can use those rotors.

I have the same problem with my rotors. When I posted a while back no one responded to the question. I bought rotors at the dealership about 2 years ago and they gave me the wrong ones they were to big so I returned them. I resurfaced the ones I had but now there shot. So is there a company that makes rotors for the early 00? Besides Toyota of course if they don't give you the wrong ones. Sorry I'm not try to hi jack your thread.

why not figure out the differences between '00 and '02 models and change that, it'll solve the problem at its core and give you better braking. I mean if you don't already have the rotors it wouldn't be a bad upgrade, you could throw on some SS braided lines too. I'm pretty sure its just the caliper, since '01+ models use a different pad and rotor.
