Gruven: Hardware store, just take the knob in with ya, i found the stainless steel (silver) ones dont strip out as easily as the black ones

I had the EXACT same problem as you dood no worries. I originally had the stock shifter and bought a Momo F16 Colour shift knob and matching blue leather boot. It sat so much higher that it came up to the radio almost! I then bought a TRD short shifter a couple months later. I did a comparison and noticed that the stock shifter with the stock shift knob was still shorter than the TRD short shifter with the Momo knob. So I sold all the Momo stuff and put the stock shift knob back on the short shifter. The blue didn't match the rest of the blue in the car anyways. It was a total waste of money and I took a huge loss on it but we live to learn.

My Momo knob keeps loosening, and the damn thing twists when i shift. I'd screw it back in, but give it 3 days and it's loose again! What should I do?

weird... i never had probs w/the momo shift knob/steering wheel in my old car except for the fact that I got the wrong steering wheel hub and didn't have a horn/cruise control anymore

When I put my knob on, I put loc-tight on the screws, then screwed them in...Haven't had any probs yet. Still have same height as stock..but i have the Race leather one (small ball)
