Where does Toyota like to hide the brains of the RS3000 security systems. I need to get at it so i can program some new remote controls.

Any pointers for the Celica *and* the Tundra would be helpful.

Edit: The Tundra is the RS3000 and the Celica is the RS3200. Anyone know if they are compatible? I sure would like to have one remote for both cars. Any universal "learning" key fobs out there?

its under the driver side dash. It's kind of bolted behind the security mic/led and window lockout button, only its located more to the side of the car tward the fender. Just follow the wire that plugs into that little security speaker thing and it will lead to the "brains"

Good call. I know where the little eye is, I guss logic would say that it is connected to the computer.

Thanks!

Found the Tundra RS3000 computer. It wasn't where it was supposed to be (2002 is different than '00 and '01). Unfortunately, it didn't accept the Celica remote.

The RS3000 and RS3200 don't appear to be compatible.

Now I need to try the Tundra remote on the RS3200.

scott you can check the TSB thread in the TSB forum ... theres a TSB out there explaining the alarm and its compatibility for some reason...
