Paint the underside so you get the ribbed look. I wish I would have got mine color matched to my car.

I painted mine ribbed at first and loved it. The only thing I didn't like is they didn't come out near dark enough for me so eventually I ended up painting the top side. No more ribbed look now but at least its dark enough to actually notice it.

^^^ Agreed, ribbed is more subtle.... smooth is WAY more noticable... I just did the tops of mine in satin black on my 3p0, looks killer. But you should do which ever you like better.

^^^^ wow that looks really good.

I painted mine on the back side and i never got the ribbed look. Only when i look really close you can see it ribbed i guess. maybe i gave it to much coats?

^^ same thing happened to me...but i think it's the paint/color. i used flat black when my friend used gun metallic paint. didn't know that would make a difference.

I got the same thing when using nightshades. I guess i tinted too much cause you can only see the ribbed effect around the turn signal when the sun directly shines on it.

I took my spare headlamps and did them like Rob did over the weekend since I wasn't happy with the blacked out effect.
