That kit looks more complete than the other 800$ one floating around, and that one guy making almost 450 hp is using a Tseries turbo like that one.

It might would be worth it to buy it and upgrade parts, but I doubt it.

i looked through his feedback and it almost looked like he sold a few honda complete kits that people were satisfied with. while i can't believe the kit being truly complete/functional (especially since that piping is totally useless and those are just stand cuts and sizes) try emailing some of the users that have bought from him and get their opinion; this is the best thing to do when you want to buy something off of ebay but arent sure of the quality.

It looks legit and basically has most of the parts (just needs a downpipe). Of course, that's not it. You'll need injectors, an ECU (piggyback or replacement), turbo exhaust, and a few other things I'm sure I'm missing.

Regardless, you can get a turbo setup with that for about $2K (minimum).

Doing custom piping for the Celica is a nightmare. I wouldn't touch it.

the industry needs to invent some sort of flexible hosing that can be used for high pressure and heat applications, that would make our lives so much easier.

It's possible, but it would provide terrible air flow

the thing with feedback is you have 90 days to leave it- chances are these guys just left feedback upon receipt. if it blows up 91 days later, you'd never know!

I wouldn't get it...you'd still hafta spend a lot of time and money to do the custom work to it...better off getting a made kit specifically for the celica

what do you mean?? as long as the diameter of the piping is the same throughout the airflow would be the exact same.

i've always thought some company should make a wiremesh tube covered in composites that is flexible so you can wrap it and bend it around wherever you want, and then spray it with epoxy to harden it and make it useable in engine conditions. that would be pretty sweet :monkey:

It'd still be cheaper in total than buying, daresay, a Hass Turbo kit. Sure, that's a terrible comparison because they use different products, but it's not like this kit's going to completely fall apart.

Flexible hoses will not stand crazy conditions. Plus with piping, you'd want the smoothest inner surface possible for the least amount of resistance.. Bendable piping won't offer that.

As Jesse IL said, that's an OBX manifold. And they don't fit right on our cars at all. I'd rather get a custom tailored kit than to have to cut those generic bends to the right lengths and angles.

i wouldn't put it past falling apart...its crap...and even if it wasn't you'd still have to do a lot of work to install it properly

wow you guys really have no idea. thats not even a kit, its missing all the main parts and to be honest you will spend more trying to make this kit work compared to buying a pre made kit( HASS or c2) and to be honest i dont think you would want any of those things on your car just looking at the manifold should be enough. chances are thats a knock off turbo that will prolly give up by the time you get everything fixed up. but hey good luck if you want to take a chance and if your looking to going FI im selling my kit ;)

JW, is the OBX manifold just not made right so it doesn't bolt up right.

Somebody's gotta try it. It won't be me cuz I'm gonna go rotrex next spring(hopefully) but when all is said & done I bet you could save a sh!tload of money over a haas or c2 power kit. If parts go out, replace them down the road. Get a better turbo or BOV later on if you have to. Also, fitting the IC piping is not the complete nightmare it was made out to be. The_J_Factor's rotrex IC piping was total custom & it wasn't outrageous price wise at all. What would you need, downpipe, boost controller, turbo timer, injectors & a fuel rail, fuel management & some guages on top of the kit & the IC pipework? All that shouldn't be more than $1500-$2000 depending on who does it. That leaves you at about $1500-$2000 less than the Haas or C2. My buddy is gonna get the same company's kit for his honda. The Honda board is pretty much the same as here, just a bunch of guys flaming the kit who haven't even used one or know someone who has. Sure it's probably not as good as the $4500 kits. But I bet it works! ;)

It will bolt up to a head sitting on a bench. Its made for a top mount turbo, which will mount the turbo in the middle of the firewall. Its been speculated that the manifold was designed for a Corolla.

Man, if I had a dollar for every time I heard that...

Yeah but with the rotrex all the piping was in front the motor, with a turbo you'll have to run piping from the back of the motor.
