Does the added weight of the action package slow down the base GT?

Also, does the increased mass of the spoiler = more rattling of the hatchback?

(I was test driving a car the other day and experienced a lot of rattling with the standard spoiler, so I'm a bit concerned; also considering a base version w/out any spoiler)

Thanks in advance!

I've never had problems with a rattling spoiler and I've never heard of such problems for aftermarket spoilers. A body kit will slow you down but you probably won't notice the difference.

I don't know the answer to your questions but I would mention that the cost of the action package is pretty high. The invoice on the action package is about 1200$ The invoice on a regular spoiler is...I can't remember but it is a few hundred dollars.

If I were you (interested in performance) I would get the car either with the standard spoiler or none at all.

I have a GT w/ Action Package and I have noticed no rattles - except for a rattle in my roof just in front of the sunroof.

I had a rattle in my rear hatch - come to find out it was a little gold bolt that had come loose behind the gray trip panel. I just removed it because it didnt really do anything.

Action package is a good quality urethance kit... I still wouldn't get it off the dealer tho as they charge your a$$ grip for it. Get the car as it is and put Kaminari kit on it... i think that is betta way to spend the money... I've never notice the rattle either...

Invoice on the action package is 1272$. I am not sure what aftermarket kits cost but that seems like a good deal for side skirts, front bumper, reaer bumper, and spoiler. Also it is painted, installed, and warrantied.

Of course with aftermarket you'll have a spare bumper :)

Some members have complained of a rattling stock spoiler in the past. (you could move the spoiler back and forth by hand) It turned out that the bolts holding the spoiler down to the hatch were loose/not installed.

Solution: Remove the plastic trim panel, socket wrench with extension, tighten them down and relpace trim panel. Problem solved.
