Hi,
It is me again. First of all I would like an apology from all of the people who flamed me and gave me the b.s. flag, and told me that it could not be done since my last thead of "I did it.." No hard feelings to the ones that did flame me or gave me the b.s. flag. Thanks myredceli for the props as well. LOL Anyway I showed a bunch of celica owners at the meet last sunday that my countless hours of research and pain from racing people that I should be able to smoke and the nights that I went to sleep with a car that just completely sucked, after all the 02 mod paid off. Well it paid off for all the 02 enthusiasts. I am going to sell a kit that I made. The kit will include all the necesary parts and instructions to do the mod except the ecu and the installation. The ecu you can find at car-parts.com for a fairly reasonable price. I will be selling the kits for 175 plus shipping.

The kit includes:
1 knock sensor
1 Wire set
1 Connector set
1 Instruction sheet

And as you guys know the knock sensor from toyota is 168.xx plus tax, So as you can guess that I will not be making anything off this kit. I am doing this for ease of install and so that the 02 owners can get everything in one shot and so I dont have to keep replying to emails. Of course I will reply to people who need help who get the kit if they would like it. The kit is reversible. By that I mean that if you have to take your car in for warranty and you need to take off all of your parts you can take off the 02 mod just like you would take off a cold air intake. As always I reccomend that the kit be installed by a professional (not that it is that hard but definitely not for the mechanically challenged.) I would say that it is about as hard as intalling a cai. But then again I have done it and I build engines. There is only one wire that you have to tap into but no cutting necessary of the original wiring. I am selling this kit as a courtesey to all of the 02 owners so I do not claim any responsiblity for anyone who buys the kit and damages or breaks something trying to install it. I will take back defective knock sensors. If you would like to order one then email me nike@dspr.co.jp O yeah special thanks to trippin for putting together the meet and pokgai for the video that hopefully he will upload later on. Thanks again to MyRedCeli for the props not the flames and all the believers in the 02 mod.

This is great news, even though I don't have the evil 02 ECU. Finally Celica owners can undo the stupid mistake Toyota did by lowering the fuel cutoff.

Congrats and good work, can't wait to hear some success stories.

I'm glad to hear that you beat me to this. It's great that your offering this as a service to all. Something I never really considered. Much props to you and your hard work.

well i formally apologize for knocking you in the other post but you know the saying, no pics = no proof.

anyhow I have a question for you.. since your not trying to make any $$ off of this why dont you just post the instructions up here, Ill put them into the install section on the site and then everyone will know how to do it without having to do through you?

Larry the intructions are in Technical Discussion. We've been discussing this for some time now. We have the wiring diagrams and what not. I plan on trying this myself by next week.

Famous last words, bub! I would have said the same, until I blew my engine up in March.

BTW, I like the 2002 shift gate MORE than the 00-01 version. It is MUCH HARDER to put in the wrong gear than the old setup.

1000 miles? so you are still breaking in the car...and u still consistently hit lift to check out if the fuel cut-off is raised with the kit????

He's saying he's had the mod for 1k miles. Not that he just got the car and it only has a 1k miles on it.

Out of curiosity are the videos posted yet?

Well... 2zzge.... you are the start of 02ers.. !!
Congrat on your accomplishment...
I was little skeptical about it.. cause you didn't show anything but I did it.. so as most people doubt you...
But now you have proof... Once I save up the money and see how other 02ers do on it then I'll get it.....
