I have a little problem that can be seen here:

http://www.newcelica.org/forums/showthread.php?t=247291

Since I don't have CEL for Toyota to check anymore, I think it's just my MAFS that's wrong, and not the clutch. The cheapest I can find a MAFS for is $110.00 so far from partznet.com. Does anybody have any other connections?

I might have my old MAF sensor in my drawer of celica junk I still have. I'll take a look. No clue if it's any good, I remember I swapped mine out with another used one when I was having tuning problems with my turbo, but it wasn't the MAF that was the problem.

Oh wow thanks! Let me know! If you're free tonight I can come pick it up and check it out to see if it's good!!!

The next cheapest option is $75 from eBay. The GT and GTS MAFS are the same right?

I remember reading here on new celica.org forum that someone bought a new or rebuilt MAFS from autozone for like 89.95 and got a core deposit trade in of 69.95 so it only cost him the difference of 20.00 after trade in of core.

But, can you believe every thing you read here???

I was not paying too much attention to it because i didnt need a mafs & still dont, but from what I read here, sooner or later I will.

Good luck & let us know how it resolves out.

I sent out payment for one dirt cheap from another member here ;) matadorgts cursed me out when he called me from work and I told him how much I payed.

And as of right now, the car feels great and responds great since it's back to stock. The white smoke can either be attributed to a toasted MAFS, or even water hitting my hot rotors. But the car runs fine so I doubt it's MAFS related. I'll be getting a compression test tomarrow just in case. My only complaint right now is that I'm not sure it pulls as hard in lift as it did stock, but then again I had the CAI for almost a year so that may affect my perception of what's "slower". Thanks for the comments guys.
