i got a friend's father, who drove sport cars for races about 20 years ago, he told me that there's a way to change gear by NOT STEPPING(using) THE CLUTCH in somwhere at high RPM, he show me once and it's really smooth but he told me it can damage the gear box deeply if u don't do it in the proper way.

But anyway just wana ask some technical ppl, NOT THE SKILLS, but the engineering concept behind this technic...

can some 1 help me out?

I think this is synchro-shifting. Not sure though.

yes you can use the viscosity of the tranny fluid to bring the speed of the dogteeth up to the speed of the gear itself if you do it slowly by applying pressure to the gear selector knob.
