I'm not sure I understand. Could you describe exactly what types of lights you're installing. Each light fixture comes with its own voltage/amperage specifications. If it's made for your car, them you should be alright.

Do you have a picture of this switch?

Re check the wiring, prongs.

If you have an amp installed you could always run your 12v accessory through the remote wire and use the amps ground. This way when the car/system is off your accessory lighting will shut off/turn on automatically.

ground to ground, 12volt to a 12volt source----either constant or switched.. and acc is whatever your trying to be able to switch on and off.

seems like you have an spdt switch with an led light, thats why it has that ground.

its the switch from mark gordon.. the 4 switch plates that goes in your ash tray.. i ordered it from him about 4 months ago and i just opened the package 2 days ago... i just wanted to know how everything connected into this switch to work... like if someone could provide me with a layout of some sort because the wiring confuses me, im noob when it comes to wiring my electrical anything for my car lol... the only switch i did myself was indash dvd ground to -> pilot switch off ~then~ pilot switch on -> vehicle ground and that works great... is ash try switches the same?

and if the ash try switches are the same, how do you make the switch lights work to indicate when its activated...

http://customswitchpanels.com/Celica2000.htm thats the switch i ordered awhile back.. on the backside theres 3 prongs, first is the top and bottom prong are accesory and 12v and the middle is ground but i dont quite understand how it works still...

Running any other accesory through your amp source could put noise in your system, use another circuit

The switch lights will work with how I told you to wire it. Thats why it has 3 prongs instead of 2 for normal non led SPDT switches.

When you turn it on, the led turns on, it has its ground and power source, which is also the source you are using to turn on whatever you are turning on with that switch.

if that still confuses you, as i tried to explain it in the least technical way.. here are the more technical ways:

http://www.kpsec.freeuk.com/components/switch.htm

Hope that helps, if not, maybe look into paying someone so you don't break anything.

You had it right, didn't you?

Top (on position) would be 12V, middle would be the acc, last would be the ground assuming you need it.
